Steele - 5 - Redeemed himself in the shootout, but 2 massive Ricketts which should have lost us the game.
White - 6 - did ok - liked to see him going forward.
Dunk - 8 - On his way back for us, going to need him at his best for the fight.
Webster - 8 - Has come on so much this season.
March - 9 - Class, if we had strikers attacking the box, he would be even better.
Bissouma - 6 - Really great in the first half, but disappeared in the second. Needed Davy to come on.
Gross - 6 - pretty average all night - great penalty though
Ali J - 6 - glimpses, always just ****ing glimpses.
MacAllister - 6 - I hope he sticks around, there's a quality player in there, but not tonight.
Maupay - 5 - devoid of confidence, takes too many touches, when preparing to shoot and always hits the wrong pass when not.
Zeqiri - 6 - Looked more likely to affect the result than Maupay, but that's not really saying much.

Tau - 7 - Looks like the sort of player we need. Hard to know whether he's good enough, but not a bad start.
Propper - 7 - Suspect we have missed Davy far more than any of us have realised. Some good and bad tonight, should have hit the target early on. Superb penalty.
Veltman - 6 - Like a lot, but not much to do tonight
Bernardo - 5 - shit
Trossard - 5 - The over hit passes were seriously pissing me off, then he started getting on the ball and causing some problems. Felt he was getting somewhere and then he hits the shittest penalty of the night. Undoubtedly the most infuriating player in our ranks.

I'm just glancing down at the 6's 7's, 8's and 9's and thinking, i'll have what you're drinking

Really?
Ali J was useless
Biss was streets ahead of AJ, even if it wasn’t for the whole match.

Yeah, you’re right, better than Ali J. Probably a 5.5 and a 6.5 but I don’t do halves. I marked Biss down for needlessly giving the ball away in the 120th minute. He was pretty poor for the last hour.

It's the way I saw it.

We played well but cannot score.
It's a single problem we have, but a massive one.

I may have overstated March's 9.
But do you really think Webster/Dunk/March were poor?

March and Dunk 8.
Everyone else 6.

Steele I would honestly give 9 or 10 for recovering from his error and the immense character he showed in the shootout. Outstanding performance.

See the marks I gave them earlier in the thread.

Agree, it's the attacking players who were, again, woeful.

Not sure i'd say that's our single problem

I’m not sure the knee in the head from Webster did him any favours.

Withdean was worse than that less than 20 years ago.

On a par with that, you're right.

I suppose Withdean had never had an Ospreys match the day before to be fair.

It was a shocking pitch which was a leveller.

Still doesn't excuse an atrocious performance in my view

Steele - 4 / 10 for penalties, true MotM
White - 6
Dunk - 7
Webster - 6
March - 8 MotM inside “90
Bissouma - 6
Gross - 6
Ali J - 5
MacAllister - 6
Maupay - 5
Zeqiri - 6

Tau - 7 looks good. “Lion of Judah”! What ever that means...
Propper - 7 needs to take his chance against Man ‘Citeh’
Veltman - 6
Bernardo - 5
Trossard - 4 still looks way off his former self...

The Lion of Judah is what Jesus is referred to at times in the bible, so i assumes its a way of hailing a player as a god. Going to Newman all those years ago finally paying off.

Several outstanding saves and poor shooting stopped us winning in normal time. Harsh to mark as individuals because of conditions. Withdean never as bad. Burnley with Barnes and Wood would be ok but number of passes we try and play no chance

I think these scores are perfect. Nice to see you marking Dunk down (others haven’t) for fluffing his clearance at the beginning of the match whilst handing Newport a fantastic chance to take the lead. He was pretty immaculate after that they might have held their 1-0 win had they scored 1st.

I’d agree with all but one of that

Trossard - 1

Didn’t find one single player with a pass ... ran into dead ends... awful pen ... doesn’t look interested

Steele - 5 Marked up for penalties but marked down for goal error and the major cock up earlier in the game where Dunk saved him.
White - 6 OK, got forward more than normal and the nutmeg.
Dunk - 6 A very shaky start but improved second half to become our best striker
Webster - 7 He is actually starting to win headers and looks less likely to give the ball away.
AJ - 4 Much as I have wanted him to succeed and still believe there is a player in there, its not gonna happen at Brighton time to move on.
Bissouma - 6 Bit of an enigma, ran the first half absolutely superb but second half went missing and then almost gave a goal away right at the death. Passes backwards too much for me but is this team instructions
Gross - 6 Nothing flash just keeps the team ticking over (despite efforts to the contrary by some team mates)
March - 7 He does cover some ground in a game and looked our most dangerous player but please will you take a player on rather than the usual double back
Maupay - 4 Only woke up up second half and even then didn't do much
Zeqiri - 5 He does at least try but not sure he is gonna be our saviour
MacAllister - 5 I find MacAllister really difficult to judge, there is a player in there and he seem to make runs others don't see so he never receives the pass then nothing, I think he is a player that really suffers playing at our over 60+ walking football pace.

Trossard - 3 Hopeless
Tau - 6 Good signs on what would be not the best game to make your debut
Propper - 6 Getting back up to speed and looking to be a bit more positive than pre injury.
Bernardo - 4 Not sure what position he plays
Veltman - n/a
