I'm curious as to what benefit a fast Hemed would have been?
The way I saw the game if Tomer was quick he'd have just been even further away from all his teammates.
Youre bang on there I reckon.

Ryan 6 I don't blame him for either goal, he looked good and solid. Distribution was a bit off at times, the telepathy will come.
Bruno 7 A few misplaced passes but some lovely touches and was Premier League class.
Duffy 5 A couple of panicky moments but he looked strong and he's perfectly capable at this level.
Dunk 7 No question marks about Dunk.
Suttner 6 He'll be better against lesser opponents when the team is more open. Quality left back.
Pröpper 5 Well, he is a VERY casual player with clear talent but needs to plug his head in a bit.
Stephens 5 He'll improve and he'll get used to playing with Pröpper, they'll be strong together.
March 6 I don't get why he's being so highly marked, a few casual moments in defence and not the day for our attackers.
Gross 6 Not the performance as against Atleti but he showed enough to prove his class.
Brown N/A Doesn't look like someone I want to see starting regularly.
Hemed 5 He battled and he won a couple of duels but it was tough, and he's very limited. Not a Premier League player.
Subs
Murphy 5 Also not a Premier League player, lost the ball which led to the opening goal when he should have put in a cross.
Murray 5 Not in the game as much as he should have been, he's going to be crucial to us.
Knockaert 6 Not impressed with the dive.
Because there was plenty of space behind their defence for balls to be played into and for a faster forward to chase.
Gross did alright. Not sure what these ratings are about.
Hemed hating mostly unfounded. We were playing Man City, he was never going to get involved or get many opportunities to show his worth. But he did try and bring others in and his passing was smart as was his pressing. He also did well defending set-pieces. Did exactly what I'd expect him to do tbh. If he had that game against a lesser team then I'd be more disappointed.
But we don't have a faster forward.
If one were left on the bench and Tomer played then fair enough.
CH had a choice of Tomer or Murray, and the end result, in that side, against that opposition would have been identical.
Don't hate on the player, hate the process.
I'm not a Hemed hater, far from it, but when you are going to play those kind of tactics the centre forward has to hold the ball and bring others into the game. He really failed to do that today. Murray was a lot better when he came on, although ottomemdi absolutely mugged him off with a brilliant interception near the death
But the players Hemed was supposed to bring into the game were at least 40 yards away.
Solly and Murphy were so far back, Hemed would need to distract the 3 defenders with some magic tricks or something before they could be bought into the game.
Passing off to Gross who was consistently the nearest too him, just isn't going to make much difference.
I get your point and yes, the support was largely shite but when it was there, he should have done better IMO. Murray does that lone role so much better
I'm struggling to see how anything would have been different had M&H reversed roles, and to be honest it's tough to see that changing without the elusive Better Baldock.
Sure it's clear today we were playing with (a generous) 10 men against 12, and that won't be the case going forward, but without pace through the middle nobody will play us on the back foot.
Its certainly not hate just an opinion that Hemed was very poor. Impossible for him to pass to anyone because he lost the ball everytime he received it. Also one chance he had to get away caught by defender despite having head start
