Plastic Fans

I dont consider myself a plastic fan even though Ive only been to one game this season (Boxing Day) because I live in leicester now and my work includes weekends so I cant get time off/afford to watch the albion reguarly. However I was planning to go to the Walsall game because its not too far from me but that may have to be swapped for Villa now if I can get tickets.

Personally I think anyone who is willing to cheer on the albion is great by me altho as a former Goldstone regular when I was a kid and a Withdean STH in my teens I do think STH and regular away game supporters should get preference as a reward for their loyalty even if that means me missing out. However I wish to say that people having a go at people that only go to a game or two each season is not necessary as we all love the albion but myself for example work 40 hours a week for minimum wage and cant afford to travel across the country to watch the team I love, therefore the big games are a chance for me to treat myself and spend a day not worrying about paying the rent or the council tax and just enjoy myself :ascarf:

Indeed. It was one of the things that put me off getting Southampton tickets through the club as I'd have to pay effectively a £40 'booking fee' for something we might never use again - especially if I become a STH at Falmer.

Yep

If I want to book Torquay tickets online they wanted me to pay £10 for a game that was never going to sell out.

I had a season ticket for 2 years so was on there data base so its not like i was a thug!

The way the club issue tickets is a bit of a joke to be honest.

With all this talk of ticket allocations and the whole "me first" attitude towards securing a seat at the Villa FA Cup tie, the term 'plastic fans' has been banded around. It seems that people will brand you a plastic fan if you're not a season ticket holder or away member etc etc...
It will be down to those so-called 'plastic fans' to pay for Falmer.

If they don't turn up, then the club goes bust.
