Far superior smell than sewage and diesel at high and low tides in Newhaven-is that lovely chimney still chucking pollution everywhere?
Here's a nice picture for you-5 minutes walk from my house.View attachment 73282

Tandoori nights has a nice lawn :)
Did someone from this area steal your car or run off with your wife?

5 minutes walk 1st photo and 2 minutes walk for the second from my house.
It's a long walk to some decent countryside for you if you live in the city.

Wotton-under-Edge. Not exactly an eyesore but, with a few exceptions, populated by some very strange people. This could be due to the fact that that the M4, M5 and a couple of A roads provide an accidental ring-road, meaning you only go there if you have to.

Yes Piddinghoe pond, photo taken in Newhaven behind the Cemetery, plenty of decent walks as you will know HT.
I also enjoy walking along the river near the pond.

West Norwood not just because of the uncomfortably closeness of Selhurst, but mainly getting broken into every weekend that I went away!! The pubs were as rough as a cats tongue. The landlord used to hit the counter with a base at bat and tell everyone to 'f@ck off out of his pub'...classy. Couldn't be done with all mockney hard nut shit any more.

Phalaborwa in northern S Africa - full of Englishman-hating Afrikaaners who loved rugby, hated football (I'm a proud Englishman who loves football, hates rugby) and also it had these really vicious baboons that were just plain nasty.

Not bloody way!!??!!....... I lived there for a year in the early 70's, was still at school and my old man worked at the copper mine.

Didn't find it too bad, plus it was one of the main entry points into the Kruger.

Loughborough. Dreadful place. The only redeeming feature was proximity to Nottingham.

Hove (actually)
Definitely this. Only spent a few weeks living there as a student but if felt like a lifetime. Truly hideous town where the residents actively take pride in being arses. Like going back to the 1970s.

Another vote for Portsmouth. Sh@thole.
Toxteth has a grinding poverty of spirit that I've no wish to encounter again (not to mention having to put up with the locals...).

You seriously can't be comparing Brum to Brighton ha ha ha ha
I've seen some things on here but that is one of the best ha ha ha
Anyway if you hate Brighton so much why are you on here ?

When I first moved away from B&H I had to create a fallacy in my mind that I was glad to, picking up on the few negatives of living here. It appears that some posting on here are still lodged in that period of denial. Not sure there are many places on the internet you could find Brighton described as a 'backwater dump', even on opposition boards, but NSC never fails to bring them out the woodwork.

Thankfully my financial situation has changed and I have since moved back.

On topic, Portsmouth and to a lesser extent Reading. There are a plethora of worse places, but none I have lived in thankfully.
