Bloody hell. Theres no pleasing some of you lot. It's a striker. You never know he could come good. FFS give him a chance If It's going to be true? You moan about prices going up but without the funds we can't get the world beaters you expect.

Hardly a "gem"... But I recon he could be pretty decent for us. He was never going to do well at west ham with their hoofball style, he's better suited to us and our style. I wouldn't say he is much of an improvement over what we currently have though. Will have to see! If we sign him... Of course!

Am i right in thinking he scored 1 in 5 games for the last three years?
I'm a bit underwhelmed to be honest - it looks like the last time he "set the world on fire" was when he played for St Etienne and scored 23 goals in 89 games. Not exactly prolific even then and that was a while back. Don't want to pre-judge the guy but the question "What is it with Gus and forwards?" keeps going round my head.

As far as permanent transfers are concerned, I wouldn't say he has been a complete failure at all. Ready made strikers cost a great deal of money.
