PIL playing in Brighton

Didn't really fancy it . Don't know why. Got the Metal Tin and a bootleg at Hammersmith circa '79, but didn't really get excited about this one . I know I shall regret it. Saw them at the Top Rank back in the day .Spent the whole gig staring at John's bum. That's not because hs's got a nice bum . He just spent the whole gig leaning against the mic stand singing to the drummer.

Enjoyed that! John was on good form, much happier than when I've seen him before. But typical PiL. From the sublime of Flowers and Death Disco to the ridiculous Lollipop Opera wedged in between those classics. Those going tonight, enjoy.

Crispy,glad you enjoyed it. I'm sure I will too tonight. Was there a support act? I have a feeling there isn't one. What was the finish time,approx? Never thought about how exactly I'm gonna get back home,when I got my ticket. Need to arrange complicated travel after etc. Whoops...

Didn't get there until 9:15 by which time he was in full flow. Don't think there was a support act but they finished about 10:45ish so they were going for the best part of 2 hours. If anyone wants a freebie, the side door (on Madeira Drive) was open when we got there (and stayed open) and you get just as good a view as if you're inside (if not better)! Hope you enjoy it Klunk.

I cant wait for tonight..Just drove back from Essex with the new album up at full volume just to get used to the new songs..which are OKish, but I know he is promoting this album so I guess he will play most of the tracks off it!!

BTW I wont be wearing anything Palace : )

First song last week was love song, very unrecognisable from the 80's, took me 15-20 seconds to know what it was even though the fist line is "this is not a love song"

Started at 9pm and finished just after 11pm, was 2 hours of fun! It was bl**dy hot in the venue so I ended up close to the open door.
