The Crown has apparently been sold to a local hotelier and is to be refurbished as a pub.

It looked like this, the last time I saw it:-

Personally, I've always preferred the Green Man, but that might be something to do with the badly twisted ankle that I suffered once, as a result of falling over a pothole in front of the Crown.

Here's a really difficult one - mainly because of the angle, the age and the fact that the name isn't showing. A clue in the approach to the pub.

Clue? it's hard to see, but it is thatched (but isn't any longer) and you can see steps leading up to the front door.

Another clue? It's named after the village it's found in.

....And another! But can you guess which brewery it is owned by despite it being obscured by foliage?

I knew I knew this pub. Obviously it's the Wheatsheafe! And it is tucked away in Crowborough. Prob the only decent pub in the town.

I was heading towards The Bush Inn - but it hasn't got a colour!

Lovely pub and the best (poached!) pheasant I've ever eaten.

...Although I don't have a pic of it I think it is fair to point out that the Coopers Arms over the other side of town is the only other decent pub.
