As someone who has listened to the phone-in from time to time this describes what I have heard every time and is why I listen to 5 live instead. A few years ago you could listen to local radio on the way back from the game and get some inmformed comment from players or manager. Now all you seem to get is a bunch of idiots phoning in to a show where the agenda is always the same - negative. It was time to change the record years ago.

If you want to hear positivity and praise go and talk to Liz Costa and Co, if you want negativity listen to the phone-in. Complaining that football phone-ins are negative is a bit like moaning that dogs have 4 legs and bark.

One thing that I still find really odd is that last year it was generally agreed that the costs of the stadium applications of £3.5million would be transferred to the Stadium Company, thereby not affectiong the running of the club - and allowing funds to be ploughed back into the playing side......if so that does not appear to have happened OR funds were never going to be made available!!!

Surely one of the surefire ways to fill the said stadium, after the initial honeymoon period, is to provide a decent team playing at a decent standard.

If your bank is prepared to lend you an extra £2,000 for a trip to Vegas, fair enough. But what financial institution is out there, prepared to lend the Albion £1 million (repayable over 40 years) to buy a footballer or two? Or are you suggesting that, on this occasion, "Silent" Knight should live up to his name and just forget to mention how he's going to spend the bank loan?
