Why this is vexing me I do not know, but, just wondering out loud, how many Brighton players will make the PFA League One team?

In other words, are we winning this league with the respect of our peers? Or, are they all going to shun them?

I'll start the bidding at three!

Calderon
Dicker
Bennett

I reckon Greer and Murray would feature, but may have annoyed a few oppo"

if four four two's list of best players in the division is anything to go by, then calderon and bennett are definitely in

you could quite easily make the case for murray if he makes it into the top two scorers in the division which is i imagine what they would tend to base the strikers on

Possibly just Bennett.

Not being negative (and only marginally cynical) but we are a very good and effective team with relatively few stars as evidenced by the number of times this season when any one of three or four players could justifiably have been MOTM. We play a brand of total football which demands co-ordinated effort from all players and doesn't allow for stand-out stars in the way of most teams which are built around one or two key players.

i cant see anyway ankergren would get in, purely based on the fact that he has had very little to do

plus joe lewis and kelvin davies are far better than him in my opinion. you could even make a case for jamie jones at orient, although he had an absolute shocker at withdean

I think it'd be something like...

K. Davies (Saints)

Calderon
Fonte
El-abd
Painter

Marc Pugh (AFCB)
Gary Jones (Rochdale)
Anthony Sweeney (Hartlepool)
Anthony Pilkington (Hudders)

Mackail Smith (Pboro)
Murray

If Footy League papers team of the half season could be used as a guide El Abd will be in for a very strong shout, Being the only Brighton player that featured.

If i'm honest i think only Bennett will get in, El Abd, Caldi & Murray all outside bets.

Personnally think only Bennett, Greer and Calderon will get there. Calderon because he is an exciting full back, Bennett for what he creates and Greer because he is a solid defender who rarely gets booked or gives away fouls and had one very unlucky sending off!
