Some people saying about Lewis, Boyd and McCann. Add McLean to that list. We already have Cms...Am I wrong in thinking this is half the side that got relegated from this division a few years ago?

Very good point.

None of those players do anything for me.

Very good point.

That why I would not be over bothered about us signing McLean. Yes I know he is Cms's best mate and all that. But they didn't set the world alight in this division the last time they were in it together. Not sure he is what we need, at this level.

I cannot believe the love-in for Lewis on here for multiple seasons, he's been shocking every time I've seen him and is no better than what we already have. McCann, whilst fitting the mould of what we want, is the wrong side of 30, and Boyd is inconsistent and injury-prone (although great on his day). I just don't see any of them as exceptional in this division and feel there's a reason we finished above them this season, because our squad is better than theirs. Need to be looking at better than Peterborough's off-cuts if we want to make another push next season.

Would take George Boyd without a doubt. Joe Lewis is probably better than what we've got already but he's not exactly solid.

If McCann was a few years younger he would be perfect for us.

Boyd's contract is up next season so selling him before he leaves on a free.

clearly you didnt see lewis throw buckleys 40 yard chip in the net - if brez or anks had done that we would be on page 75 of abuse...

I'd be happy if we signed Lewis, he has had a difficult season but previously against us has looked incredible

I'd take Boyd in a heartbeat, not sure about McCann or Lewis (don't think either would add anything new to the team or be a real step up)...wouldn't want Mclean, CMS gets on fine without and I would rather have Barnes out there.

I was right behind the goal and he couldn't get his finger tips to it, added to that, the free kick was wind assisted.
I still wouldn't want him here.

I could see us signing Lewis. I'm not saying that would be a good thing, but I could see it happening.

A few months ago Posh would have been fighting off serious offers for the lot of them but collectively they haven't shown much form of late and with contracts running out it is understandable that they are trying to find buyers. Boyd and McCann haven't really shown the form we expect, plus there are too many questions about Lewis to solve the keeper issues we already have.

OK McCann was injured for a couple of months (made his comeback as a sub against us) but since then he has been a shadow of himself on the pitch. Posh fans admit he isn't the force he was plus they say he is becoming erratic for a club Captain with attitude problems, being seen drinking around a lot and getting done for drink driving this week. Ok thats not unique these days but not the way to prolong your career at 32. He would have been a great signing for us a year or two ago, but not now.

Joe Lewis & Danny Mills released.

Mark Little, Grant McCann, David Ball, Scott Griffiths, Nicky Ajose, Matthew Breeze, George Boyd and Paul Taylor all transfer listed

Does anyone else see this as the first of many clubs cutting unsustainable wage structures caused by players demanding/clubs offering too much money? I hope it starts a trend of clubs showing a bit more financial sense rather than gambling on high earning players to keep or improve their league position.

I'd only take Boyd. The rest are League 1 players at best and would not help us get into the play offs next year

At the start of the season (2011/12) I would have agreed with you. Having spoken to a few Posh fans and seeing some bits on tv, he is another one who looks to struggle above League 1. Maybe back with CMS the pair of them could get their scoring form back.

Paul Taylor looks like a little gremlin

But he is a very talented little gremlin. He would interest me and luckily i sit high enough up in WSU that I wouldn't see the true extent of his features.
