Peter Whittingham (in hospital but currently alive)

Good news, compared to that initially spread.

Let’s all hope and pray that the same can be said for our dear royal, The Duke Of Edinburgh.

The thought of him not hitting three figures. . . . .I just don’t think the Country could stomach it at a time like this.

Wow, only 35. Had one hell of a left foot on him.

RIP.

Edited - hoping this was just bad timing rather than tasteless

10+ days in intensive care is a very, very, very bad sign so its not that weird that rumours are spreading... though a bit distasteful ofc.

Edit: scrolled down. Sad news. Rest in peace.

He must have been the Matthew LeTissier of the championship. Talent beyond belief, but never got the opportunity to play for a fashionable club. You can't learn technique. Its a god given gift, and he had it in abundance. So very sad.

When bored in transfer windows, I remembering penning my ideal Albion Championship transfer targets to turn half-baked Poyet/Garcia squads into the perfect promotion team. Whittingham was always in there, we could’ve done with a masterful midfield playmaker.
