Pesto - how can I use it best-o?

The pesto? Make sure it's got plenty of basil, garlic and olive oil in it.

If you do this reduce, or have no chilli's in it!

I must be a because I have never even HEARD of Pesto.
Its sounds more like a cleaning product. I assumed Chappers was after some tips on removing an unsightly stain from his clothing or carpets. Imagine my suprise when I opened the thread and discovered it was of a gastronomic nature.

home made pesto is the dogs - pine nuts, loads of basil (and coriander if you like it), garlic, Olive oil, salt, pepper and a dash of lemon juice.

Mix red pesto with breadcrumbs, lemon, parsley and salt and pepper.

Cook a fillet of haddock with lemon and salt and pepper on under the grill for 5 minutes

Turn over and put the mix on top of the haddock and cook for a further 5-10 minutes

Serve with salsa spooned on the top of each fish

Do it - it's DELICIOUS - I cook it all the time!!!!

I'm eating pesto right now! I used it with a bit of pasta and some leftover sausages which I've CHOPPED up. It's pretty good actually.

Goes really well with a big hunk of Cod. Spread it all over and bosh in the oven in foil.

Stupidly easy to make - pine nuts and loads of basil bashed up with a little extra virgin.

The trick with pesto is to go heavy on it - more is more.
