The plates that start BO55, they tell you a lot about the car's owner...
Born in 1970 and a bit smelly?

Edit: Re the OP, the story seems a bit OTT from the DVLA. Even a building without planning can't be touched after 10, so 20-odd years for a number plate seems stupid.

I just don't get personalised plates though - spending any money (any amount of money at all) on something like that just seems like a complete waste. Just looks tacky IMO.

Personalised number plates, along with cocaine, are in my opinion just some of god's ways of telling you you've got too much money, but banning N14GAS because it is racist.........? Geez, this is a perfect example of some pr*ts in the modern world who can't let a day go by without scweaming wacism where it just doesn't exist.

I'm a tacky nobhead twat with a personalised plate on the Range'
Just a flex isnt it driving through poor parts of town in your £130,000 car with a numberplate costing more than most peoples yearly benifits.

On the classic car I have I did purchase a plate but never swapped it on because I learnt Id need to MOT it, and although it's safe, it's not 'MOT' safe as it has things like red rear indicators and no side repeaters or seatbelts.

Anyone has a car vandalised on an away day for having a BHA plate?

Back in the time when new vehicles had a suffix letter to identify year of registration. Can't remember the year but it was the turn of the "S".

I was working at Redhill Motors and heard that DVLA had actually issued a reg-num, and a dealer had made up the plates and attached to vehicle, that had to be recalled.

It was number 1 in the 1-999 number range with the letters "PEN"

PEN1S

True story ...

Sorry, but ... EN was the suffix for Bury, where I went to school. We were all waiting for that particular reg, but it was never issued for obvious reasons. On the other hand there was a pale blue Vauxhall Victor near us with GEN 1E

Why, aged 55, can I still remember the registrations of the cars we had when I was a kid? Pale blue Vauxhall Viva - GBG 16E. Navy Simca Estate - GCG 795K, etc, etc?

I've three on our cars, same except for the last letter but the first 5 make up my business.
I've been stopped twice due to an incorrect 'gap' and now all are legal.
PBOBE has a very nice number with BHA
Watching Hunted one of the hunters has a BHA plate.
But something that really winds my up, how come Mr Lion still has his plate 13 years after being stopped by the police?

I know two people with these, both are people that talk a good game but fail to listen and adapt. I would like to think they were meant to be amusing plates, but knowing the individuals I know they're not.
Take it as you will, one is a lady head teacher and the other is a man who is a manager (not the owner) of a building firm.

When I see same I just cringe. You know the drivers are bellends. A nice discreet BHA somewhere in the plate is best, like a code for other Albion fans when you see :)
