Saw one over Tilgate forest today. Had to google it as this isn't my forte. All i saw was a brown bird with a black head in flight. Impressive sight i must say.

Saw another bird of pray a few weeks ago up on Ditchling Beacon. It was simply hoovering . Obviously had his eye on something. Not sure what it was. I should really invest in a pair of cheap binoculars. Didn't think bird spotting would be interesting if i'm honest.
If it was hovering, rather than hoovering, that'll be a kestrel. Bird watching is very interesting, actually.

They are growing fast. With 4 youngsters to feed the pigeon numbers in central Brighton should be kept under control.

Think it'll be three chicks left soon; one of them was hopeless this morning when breakfast arrived.

Would be sad to see that as they are getting so much food. But I guess no point raising a weak chick that will struggle to survive its first year.

As a twice former Sussex Heights resident the peregrine falcons are a fabulous bonus to living there: they’d circle the building squawking to themselves looking for prey. Never saw them at full attack speed but they’re not too easy to spot at 200mph. Stunning animals.

There’s currently quite an intense feeding session going on: one can only hope that the little bird now being so enthusiastically consumed is no longer with us. Nature eh.

Fabulous birds. Chicks gotta be 100% sure on the flying front, fledging from there!

Unlikely to have been a little bird. They love a pigeon stew. They may pop over to the Adur and pick up a wading bird for a take out now and then.

The middle little one looks a bit weak. Its siblings look like they’re thriving. More hot birds live on a webcam news as we get it.

The last one - let’s call him, oh I dunno, maybe…Graham? - has now flown the nest. Never to return.
