I'm quite aware of that. The people who use it are being ironic then aren’t they? It would seem the irony is lost on you. Obviously it's funny for some of you lot, but f***ing hell it is tedious to the extreme and the irony just doesn't carry humour anymore.

Seems to me you are in severe need of a username makeover. How about:

KEEPING The Dream Alive

or maybe

Keeping THE Dream alive

or maybe

Keeping The DREAM Alive

or maybe even

Keeping The dream ALIVE

ALL are good!

Capitalisation within a sentance can be very useful because it puts emphasis on certain words that you can do verbally but can't in text.

When talking you can change the tone of a word, pause before or after, raise your voice or use various other means of applying emphasis. So often this sort of thing is lost in an email or on a message board

Yes, yes it ABSOLUTELY can.

It's not. Don't do it. If your point was that valid you wouldn't need to feel as though you have to falsely emphasise it. It stinks of shabby tabloidism and bad humour..."Oh look at ME I’m using CAPITLISATION" how ironically funny is that! It's not. Just makes you look like a nerd still living in his secondary school days spending extra time on his work with a couple of greasy-haired four-eyed pals.

*Cue more oh so ironic and humorous replies*

If that upsets you, I'd hate to think what something really serious like not using punctuation or a spell checker will do for you.

Yeah, I don't see what's wrong with it (thought I'd better agree with you here:lolol:), if CAPITALISATION is wrong, then so is bold, but obviously it isn't wrong otherwise the facility to type in bold wouldn't be available. Why the hell am I writing this rubbish anyway, I've got a 2000 word report to do...

No hang on you've contradicted yourself. You said in the original post that it "stinks of bad tabloids etc" but that's the entire POINT. Thus THE irony is lost ON you.

It's such a small deal anyway, hardly WORTH making a thread about is it? I think certain people on here are ABLE to use it quite amusingly.

Also see one of Russell Brand's Live DVDs where he lays into The Sun for their inappropriate use of sub-headings such as ASKED and ADMITTED. It's absolutely hilarious.

"Stinks of shabby tabloidism and bad humour". Shabby tabloidism is for the retards who don't understand the irony, bad humour is for the one's who do understand but over use it or do so poorly like you seem to have a knack for.

"'Oh look at ME I’m using CAPITLISATION" how ironically funny is that! It's not." There's my point - people seem to think they're using irony and taking the piss out of tabloids to be funny, but they're not when they do it every ruddy sentence, every so often and it’s alright; not every time you want to impress the NSC cronies.

What i don't BUY, in fact it gets ME a bit annoyed, is this claim that some people can slip A subliminal message into their posts. Still, i wouldn't spill my BEER over the issue, and i don't know about YOU, but i try not to let it make me MISERABLE, unlike some of the other FUCKERS on here.

You clearly haven't looked back through my posts as I rarely use it. I was using it poorly on purpose but yet again IRONY rears it's head.

Wasn't aimed at you directly, but I'm pretty sure you do. Exemplifies how badly it is used on this board by others.
