Last season i think they said we were the team that benefitted most from VAR reviews but another way to interpret that is that we were the team that the officials were making the wrong calls on the most often and VAR was needed to reverse their incorrect decisions
There is definitely a big team bias from the officials, hopefully it's a subconscious bias rather than deliberately deciding to give close decisions the way of the 'bigger' team or because they are anti another side
I do also wonder if, as fans of this club, we don't kick up enough of a fuss after a game where there have been incidence like this and this helps make it easy for refs to not give decisions in our favour, knowing we'll be more likely to accept a poor decision from them but hey know they will get a lot more flack from supporters of a big team and so to avoid that, tend to give them more?
