"More below"............ how do I look at it then? (I'm not one of the Twitterati and really don't kmow my way roud Twitter, so help would be genuinely appreciated).

.....or does "more below" just refer to the string of inane replies from very thick and largely illiterate people?
Should be able to click the link and it’ll open in your browser - no need to join twitter. Not an awful lot more there anyway though as the main link is paywalled

Just takes me to the actual Twitter entry - with "more below" still there, which doesn't link to anything. Never mind, if there's not much there - thanks anyway.

As Steve Bunce would say, I'm not being an after-timer. I never felt he really got us. He would praise the away following of course, but had a few digs at the Amex, culminating in the mountain out of a molehill game v Leeds.
I actually tweeted after a goal-less draw at home to WBA, when he'd made a snide remark about the crowd that it's never a good idea to criticize your own fans and it usually ends in tears.
He managed us for over 100 games. What did he not get ? Did he really criticise the fans ? He praised them week in week out. And thousands sang Graham Potters blue and white army week in week out right to the last minute at Leicester. So what that for five minutes a few people are still clutching their pearls about Leeds. Most people really didn't care.

That was immediately afterwards.
How many people were going on about it by the time we finished 9th?
You said
Doesn’t that just lead to banal replies from Joe Public?

The article itself is hidden behind:

He was excellent for us, sure he pilfered a number of our backroom staff but who wouldn't?

This happens all over the place in the business environment. Why on earth would you not want to take your best employees with you?

If a business owner took a bit of a chance on you, gave you a very responsible job, backed and supported you when you were having a tough time (both at home and at work), gave you more or less everything you wanted, and celebrated with you after a big win, ……. Would you secretly connive with a competitor to join them for more money and to take (what you thought were) it’s best employees?

It often has a habit of coming back and biting you on the backside. Remember the saying about being nice to the people on the way up because you might need them on the way down!!

He alienated thousands of people by leaving. Before he did that barely anybody cared about his response to the original booing. After he left nobody's opinion was going to be altered by anything he said, and he doesn't have any reason to care.
Well he pissed me off with his history lesson statement, and overall I was very happy with him, despite the barren spells.
That was immediately afterwards.

After beating Man Utd 4-0 and West Ham 3-1 at the Amex I was not thinking about the snide comments he made after drawing 0-0 with Leeds, you are right.
But in discussions where his Emotional Intelligence Degree comes up, it does come to mind.
Potter ended his time with us shaking his fist at away ends and the North Stand thoroughly enjoying victories with the fans. The players by all accounts loved him. Pep refused to shake his hand once when he over celebrated a goal contrary to this idea that he was a cold fish.

Now we hear the fans all thought he was aloof and snide and patronising. Come off it. Some will never get over the manner of his departure and quite right too but this thread is rewriting history at dizzying speed - this inverse snobbery about his degree of all things is laughable. Lets also be careful - this idea that RDZ (what’s not to like but let’s wait and see) after 7 games is everything he’s not . A bit premature to say the least

But he was at times, and I would still say that if he had told Chelsea to get stuffed, and was our current Manager.
I am not pretending I didn't want him here, or don't recognise that he was good for the club, or that the coaching he did with the players has made De Zerbi's job much easier, but I am not having it that he is some sort of Zen Master, he is thin skinned and spiky.

Still takes me to "more below" - all that is below are the inane replies, not an extesion to the text shown. Never mind - wish I hdn't asked now! :lolol:
The more below relates to the other tweets he himself has posted because he ran out of letters in the first I assume.

Chelsea fans have already booed in large numbers. No Potter comment.

He could get away with that with us, in a not unequal relationship, his stock was generally high in the industry due to the style of our play and alchemy with players.

He’ll never criticise the Chelsea supporters, possibly learning lessons from his irrational episode with us, but moreover this is his possibly his one chance at ‘the big time’. They’re unforgiving, entitled and aggressive.

Just to get back on track, as it’s so hard to read who’s being serious or not or thinks they have inside info etc. Is there actually any news about Winstanley going part form the permission to talk thing last week? Still nothing new? Hard to actually find out on this thread!

Maybe he had had a history lesson on that club? :D

I admit that I was a bit disappointed about the reaction after the Leeds game - not that a few idiots booed, but that they weren't immediately drowned out by cheers for what had been a pretty dominating display. But it was late and cold and most people just wanted to get home, so that didn't happen. Since he could go inside into the warm, maybe that didn't occur to him.

Technically they were the club's employees rather than his.
