My recall is that there was a conflict of interest with whom the club were doing some business with. I don't know the detail and I am not sure that many do.
Bluntness/wording of the announcement of his departure would imply it was a bit more than that………

It seems he’s work as physiotherapist in Lindfield.

He is indeed. A friend of mine sees him regularly.

I wonder how many assists he got with the free kick to Zamora at the far post routine? It seemed like we scored every week like this.

Not necessarily, it could be he wore a Palace club tie ;) Employers can get rid of anyone for whatever reason they want really, people commonly mistake employment rights as civil or CJ law. You really can be got rid of in the most unfair manner, and of course it costs money to object. Not saying this is anywhere remotely near the case here, just that it can be absolutely bonkers and extremely harsh reasoning in the eyes of many impartial observers. I’ve seen it happen to quite a few and I’ve also come close myself (which worked out for the best because it gave me the kick up to kick on and leave for a better business)

Thanks - I managed a team of 600 staff before I retired and chaired loads of grievance cases so I’ve seen most things. No way would he wear a Palace tie 🤣Whatever the underlying reason, it’s not normally made public like this was (possibly used to inform the club commercial contacts I guess but still an unusual action). I see him fairly regularly but haven’t asked what happened

Dodge is one of the nicest people I have met who was committed to his job at the Albion through some difficult times. He looked after those who had supported the club through dark days. If there was any skullduggery there I would be surprised if it was by him - more likely a case of someone there getting over corporate.

There was a period where a number of people were moved on for disiplinary reasons. Most famous was Poyet. Dodge was another, but I do recall a few other lesser known people.

That’s not what I heard - regarding his departure I mean.

Ah, give Dodge our best. Even if he made a terrible mistake, everyone gets a 2nd chance and all that. Especially when we've got happy memories of his playing career!
