If Brooker had 20 games for us where he did well in the three years he was here, I'd be amazed.

I'm speaking to Deano later - I'll BEG him not to bring back such a pansy. If he has such an issue with Jake Robinson not being strong in the challenge, he'd go ballisitic at Paul Brooker.

I hope and expect you have zero influence... you clearly cannot judge a player...

Has anyone come back to us and been good? ???

Peter Ward, without whom our Cup run of 1983 wouldn't have got past the 3rd Round at Newcastle.

Dunno about the rest of you, but I thought Zamora did well when he came back to us after his initial loan spell. :p

Yes please! It will make up for the fact that I had 'Brooker 11' put on the back of my shirt two months before he left :dunce:

but he would hardly wear the number 11 again would he? :lolol:

Would be a quality signing. Yeah, he's inconsistent, but that's a winger's lot. We've got enough steady cloggers in the team.

We will still be trying to sign some-one comer the start of the season and there will be a list as long as your arm that will be spouted out by Knight and co that we've bid for but have not signed....but i suppose monopoly money isn't legal tender

That goal would be better if any of them attempted to tackle him. :lolol:

He has a bit of quality and creativity which we lack, but he's done nothing since leaving, is hated at Brentford (by far the worst team in the league this year).

If we are looking at Brentford players how about Jo Kuffour on a free transfer?? Rejected Huddersfield as he wants to stay in or near London.

Shows what you know...

Does it really?

Well, I know a good player when I see one...

Mayo is poor... too slow, always out of position, poor distribution... with a bit of luck, he won't sign his new contract... I'm sure thare are literally 100's of clubs falling over themselves to offer him better contracts then we can... NOT...

Brooker, while inconsistent, can actually play... beats players and a reasonable crosser of the ball... he even contributes goals... all good assets for a winger... we do't need a team of cloggers thank you very much...

Of course, the above is just my opinion...

Another couple of points... let's face it... many managers and coaches in the professional game make huge judgement errors re players... they are not perfect... other's opinions are valid... also, if you post to a message board, you should not expect to always agree with other's opinions, or those of the manager for that matter... or their most-trusted advisors! Why do you always seem to think you are 100% right? Your assessment of Brooker is an opinion too... many disagree with you, including me... and Mickey Adams at one point!

I'm sure you have the ear of the powers that be at the club... you are obviously oh so knowledgeable... but maybe you should actually consider that other's opinions might be valid too... I know it's hard to believe, but sometimes you might actually be wrong!

Oh, get over yourself, dahlin'. I heard you first time...

Of course I can't influence Dean Wilkins' decisions - did you honestly think I could?

f*** a holy duck. :thud:

Perhaps he confused you with Dave "Give me 5 days" the Gaffer, a man who has such rhetorical power he could have Graham Norton heterosexual before you can say "four poofs and a piano".

I know they are from different shows, but Jonathon Ross isn't officially gay, so he wouldnt have fit the gag.

I would back this signing 100% (assuming he has not deteriorated in the past year or so).

Did anyone see the goals he scored at the back end of the 2006 season for Brentford? Absolute QUALITY.

Have we forgotten his goal at Orient in 2001? He beat three or four Orient players before bending the ball round the keeper from twenty-five yards.

No he didn't. :jester:

He beat one player and played a one two with Zamora. Good goal, but not the sort of Maradona-esque effort you're making out. :D
