Interesting - a slip or genuine?

Maybe I missed something but I know he’s just committed to the club until 2030, has he confirmed that he will be leaving for definite at that point?

As on the pod he referred to potential future plans and paraphrasing a little but he was talking about how if we had the Caicedo/Mac Allister money in every summer, yes transfer spending would go up but;

“if we were doing this (bringing in huge transfer fees) for a decade then I suspect Tony and myself - well it won’t be me because by 2030 I won’t be here! - but I suspect Tony will be under pressure to…”

Curious.

I had assumed that this new deal he signed would take him through to retirement. Without looking it up, I'd imagine he is mid-late 50s now so another 6 years would see him through to end of his career I'd have thought.

Think those next 6 years will be very interesting with regard to how strongly the authorities police FFP/PSR(?), which in turn will define how far we can progress as a club. If they stick to their guns I think our sustainable approach will see us thrive. If they bottle it maybe not so much. Either way glad PBOBE has committed for that period.

Born April 8 1967. In 2030 he will be 63.

I hadn't taken his age into account. This does suggest that BHA may well be his last job - nice that it appears from listening that he's pretty much ended any speculation by committing to this 6 years.

He and Tony will be in no rush but looking at potential candidates from afar.

Well he’ll be 64 so maybe with the amount of money he’s earnt he’ll be able to enjoy a nice retirement by then or certainly a less pressurised job that doesn’t involve writing so many emails?
I cant imagine he will just stop writing emails and talking when he retires; I feel for his friends and family.

Have to assume his private ambition is to see Brighton win a trophy of some description within that time, and at least 2-3 more European jaunts, including at least one CL outing. Ambitious? Perhaps.
