Thunder Bolt
Silly old bat
Tony Bloom is the same age as my son, and my grandson is an adult now. All births post 21 years old.Wouldn't his son still be too young legally to own the club at that point?

My take is different to those expressed so far: I read it as saying "I have a fixed term contract that expires by 2030. It would be presumptuous of me to assume that Tony will necessarily want to give me another contract at that point"; ie a touch of expressed humility. Note the word 'expressed'Interesting - a slip or genuine?
Maybe I missed something but I know he’s just committed to the club until 2030, has he confirmed that he will be leaving for definite at that point?
As on the pod he referred to potential future plans and paraphrasing a little but he was talking about how if we had the Caicedo/Mac Allister money in every summer, yes transfer spending would go up but;
“if we were doing this (bringing in huge transfer fees) for a decade then I suspect Tony and myself - well it won’t be me because by 2030 I won’t be here! - but I suspect Tony will be under pressure to…”
Curious.
Maybe he does already . Which poster is the most likelyHe'll sit back and write NSC posts instead.

Yeah but he won’t be able to draw his state pension….so might have to carry on a bit longer …maybe a customer service role somewhereWith a pretty penny and BHA in a much better place then when he arrived. He should draw a lot of satisfaction from that.
Gives him 4 years to semi-retire and drive an Uber or deliver pizzas before he gets his state pensionBorn April 8 1967. In 2030 he will be 63.
It will probably be something like this :I fear for those having to sit through his retirement speech
I think my content is not too shabby but thanks for the vote - It’s good to be the favoured candidate for somthingI vote @Zeberdi purely based on wordcount
You’ve just described how @Thunder Bolt is spending her retirement.I'd spend my retirement doing sports tours following various English/British teams around the world, drinking champagne (in pints) and doing lines off of strippers' arses.
Will we still need him?Well he’ll be 64 so maybe with the amount of money he’s earnt he’ll be able to enjoy a nice retirement by then or certainly a less pressurised job that doesn’t involve writing so many emails?
And still keeps to a weekly budget which I think is remarkable.You’ve just described how @Thunder Bolt is spending her retirement.
