Then you are a selfish bast**d. The bloke behind you and the one behind him and the one behind him might want to sit. As far as I'm concerned you should sit in seated areas.

The girl behind him was standing, the blokes next to me and next to him were standing. He was a knob and it wasn't the first time. Thank god the club aren't as absolute on rules as you are. Still, I guess your comment shows that safe standing is required then, since more than 3K stand at every home game and at every away game.

If the clamour for "safe standing" has abated recently I would suggest that is because the stewards are now exercising good common sense and are no longer enforcing the sitting down rule in the North. Whether that has come from Barber or whether the stewards are exercising discretion because they got sick of the grief they were getting matters not.

If you are in the North and the standing upsets you, why not move and enjoy the game from elsewhere?
