He had a really good season last year. The guy rarely has a bad game, if ever.

Somehow (Potter) at age 30 now 31, he’s morphed into someone with decent mobility and he pops up everywhere, plus he can keep it going for entire games.

Sure I saw a stat that said he ran the furthest of any player during a game, or maybe I dreamt it.

Last season I said he was finished - thanks and move on. Thankfully my view has no relevance to what happens as he came good at the end of last season and was even better today! I know nothing. I also said March had had too many chances and should move on - I was wrong again. Looked excellent today.

When paired with Montoya, it was sometimes our achilles heel (Bmuff, Stains, Cardiff etc) in those early seasons.

Lamptey briefly, then Veltman sewed the right flank up, allowing Gross insurance to play.

Imho.

I reckon he was ready to leave in the summer until the great end to the season. I also wonder if the 4-0 v Man U was the deciding factor. I bet he's glad he stayed now!

I was coming back from St Michael's mount this afternoon and we got the score on Mrst T's phone. I was wearing a yellow away top, 13 Gross on the back. Mrs T took a photo of my celebration (will post when I get back home).

Walking back to the car I was attempting to jump down from a small wall and a massive bloke wearing ManUre top spotted me. He reached up, grabbed my hand with a smile, and helped me down. I didn't have the heart to mention the score. Or show him the back of my shirt

I know someone who asked Bruno who would run the quickest 5k in the squad and he answered Pascal without the slightest hesitation. May not be the fastest sprinter but makes up for it in game intelligence, endurance and being an all-round top man. Love the guy, so integral to how we play.

Said it before and say it again, if you think Pacal Gross isn’t good enough for Brighton then you will never understand football.

Gross is an absolutely magnificent player, an absolute Rolls royce, consistently covers the most distance of any of our players as well, which people don’t give him enough credit for.

Must be, overall, our best ever PL player? Yes we’ve had better individual talents but as an overall impact on the team and longevity there’s no contest IMO.

A truly outstanding player.
