Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish has come under fire after using a supporters internet chat forum to threaten a fan with legal action.

Parish became embroiled in a bitter war of words with a Palace fan posting as 'LLCOOLSTEVE' after being accused of lying about the clubs intentions with regard to the ongoing transfer speculation surrounding £55m-rated Palace starlet Wilfried Zaha.

Posting as 'CPFC2010', the name of the consortium which rescued the club from administration, Parish last night wrote the ominous warning: "Call me a liar on here once more, insinuate you know something that I know you don't or just isn't true and you better start saving your pocket money for a LAWYER, right ?".

Other fans were quickly simpering with delight at the Palace chairman's public display of strength, posting numerous messages of support, but not everyone was impressed. Crystal Palace Supporters Club chairman Rikki Runnacles said of the spat: "It's not the sort of thing you want the chairman getting involved with to be honest. We have a number of very challenged supporters who are still allowed unsupervised access to computers. When they're not browsing squirrel porn or masturbating furiously to this seasons latest penalties montage on YouTube, inevitably some of them find their way onto these fans forums which gives them a public platform on which they often excrete their confused drivel".

"Most of the time its harmless cack" he went on, "but one particular spud has really got under the skin of our Disney Prince chairman, who unfortunately decided the best way to deal with it would be to publically bully and humiliate him in front of a braying bunch of sycophantic arsehats".

The explosive row has seemingly been diffused after Palace co-owner Steve Browett later posted that he had resolved the matter with the crazed fan in a telephone conversation last night. But the saga has done little to dispel Palace's "joke club" image amongst football fans in general, with their comedy Worzel Gummidge manager, slum ground, slag cheerleaders, vile kit and dwindling support.

The Championship.
I must admit that I do find it uncomfortable to read that sort of thing...BUT LLcoolsteve is a utter wanker TBH, he is one of those people that thinks he is in the know about everthing in the club and since DF left has gone on and on slagging everything Palace say or do, and blaming everyone and their dog that DF left, making out he is a friend and "only " he knows what went on, he has become a bit tiresome....I am sure you have folks like that on here?

But reading the powers that be (OK they are fans) get in this sort of slanging match is a bit embarasing!!

We have one of those. HB&B

Llcs has been shit stirring for a long time , hinting that he knows freedman and the real reasons why he left . He has been called out numerous times to put up or shut up but he hasn't , so maybe after he called our owners liars regarding the Wilf situation they decided enough was enough . I hope now llcs will shut the fu ck up and get back to supporting the club , I'm sure he'd be welcomed on here lol .

I have not read all your replys as I have not had the time.

To be perfectly honest I am embarrassed on so many levels, list as follows :)

Im embarrassed that this was done in public,
that our chairman resorts to schoolboy bullshit,
that there were so many creeps who defended him,
That he appears to be up his own ass, I have often thought this though and even more now. Even some of the responses on the BBS seem to be me, me look at me.

Ok the person he was referring to was probably an internet dreamer(im friends with Dougie) but to do that was ridiculous, imagine your chairman threatening to sue you if you post something on here. Personally I would have took him up on his offer of meeting face to face and chinned the arrogant knob but thats just me.
I actually only read two forums, Holmesdale and this one because of the ass kissers

BBS is a strange subterranean Calibanesque kind of world world inhabited by twilight creatures from the dark side, including, it now seems, two of their owners

Isn't Steve Parish the one who called us scum and then backpedalled faster than a unicyclist with the shits?

I guess Parish just snapped in the end. I don't think the first post was the least bit embarrassing and I personally feel he was within his rights to do so. The continuation is due to BBS mods not acting and banning the twerp.

That's no way to speak about your beloved chairman.

I don't think it was anyway not to speak about our beloved chairman. Our owners don't mind criticism of their actions as long as it doesn't fall into personal attacks.

I was picking up on the ambiguity of your post. ;) I.e it appeared you were calling Seaside, err Parish, a twerp.

And when they do, it's all fair game in regards to 'your mum' jokes.

Parish is a f***ing joke, someone as high up in the club CANNOT go around talking to people like that regardless of the situation. He should be the bigger man, then continue as normal. But nope, out come the childish comments. And can someone please tell him to get a haircut. It looks ridiculous when he's in a suit.

Pedant alert. Can I point out a typo in the above article , the DM added another 5 to Winifred's transfer value.
