All I managed to get in the ballot (which was massively oversubscribed) was some hockey….and that was a couple of lower-ranked non-medal games. It was rammed. The whole complex was rammed. Several mates were volunteers….it was the same throughout the games.

There was definitely early swimming events with few people.. not a big deal per se but made my 12 year younger self think "well if they don't give a shit, why would I?". Didn't watch THAT much of these 2012 Olympics. Peak party years. But what I saw felt snoozy.
