I suspect neither does anyone on here. So why bother hanging around ?

The original quote you took offence to was a gentle ribbing in response to someone banging on about admin. Hence the reference to admin.

Your charge to me of not adding interest or humour to the thread I found somewhat wide of the mark seeing as your own contribution was to personally attack me, and also take a line from a thoroughly decent post and retort with the somewhat humorless and churlish zinger of 'how very big of you'.

However, I will honour your immense gravitas and authority over opinions and message board content by taking a backseat and affording you the space you require to regale us all with your quality observations and insights.

Could be a bit of both. Every Palace player played their role to the best of their ability, and the manager got his tactics spot on. They did their bit, can the other teams say the same? We had a potential matchwinner in Zaha, and he produced matchwinning moments in two games.

Brighton clearly fell apart in the '4th quarter', was it due to their own implosion or as a result of sustained Palace pressure? I felt the turning point was the Williams miss when he broke through and shot just wide. There had been a sense of arrogance and complacency from some within Brighton's ranks. I felt the crowd went a bit quiet and they and your players realised they were in a bit of a dogfight. At this point, I had no idea that someone had done a poo in our dressing room.

No doubting Palace worked harder and defended well in all 3 playoff games, which is why they did, and deservedly so, go up. Things with Gus have obviously turned sour here, and some suggestions that it began before the Palace games which may explain why we didn't put on a great display. The poo definitely didn't help us and would have helped motivate you more, but we still had chances to score and put the game to bed in both legs before Zaha scored. When we went in 0-0 at the Amex I knew we'd lost our chance. We had to score early and dent your confidence. The brilliant Speroni save to tip Barnes' first touch onto the bar and then the header cleared off the line just confirmed it wasn't going to be our time.

I do think you have triumphed in spite of Holloway and not because of him though. Wasn't long ago his jokes were wearing thin with the Palace fans and his tactics were being seriously questioned. Don't think he's the best man to lead you into next season, but only time will tell!
