That's a great deal for QPR, Ambrose is a superb player, and £750k is a bargain.

I THINK ITS TIME TO MOVE ON FROM THE PALACE BAITING,LETS GET BEHIND THE PALACE FANS IN WHAT WILL A DIFFICULT TIME FOR THEM,LETS SHOW OUR REAL CLASS:clap:
I say f*** them.

They are dirty scumbags, and have always been dirty scumbags.

As Barry Hearn says, they like every other cheating thieving club that goes into administration should be demoted two leagues.

The world would be a better place without that scum.

You've been in administration, so you agree you should be in the Conference effectively? Administration's hardly doing us an favours if we're having to sell off our best player is it?

Gutted that he's going but there is no way he'll replicate this seasons goal scoring tally. It's a bit like Crofts, getting someone on a free then making a profit on him a year later is relatively good business. I just wish it was a bigger fee as QPR aren't exactly skint.

I seem to remember various winding up petitions in the early 90s which is when Archer and Stanley took control with various bank loans and what have you.

Wasn't Administration different then? It wasn't the easy way it is now of getting rid of debts so a club could start the process all over again. If it had been then we'd have never have lost everything to pay off the club's debts. If it had been the same as it is now would Maidstone still be a League club? Stanley and Archer would also have had more competition for control of a club relieved of its debts.

Bearing in mind that so many of their fans took great delight at our misfortunes I will happily continue to enjoy their demise, serves them right.

They would do the same for us

GOING BACK TO THE 70'S WE SHARED ALOT OF HISTORY WITH OUR FRIENDS UP THE ROAD,THAT SPORTING RIVALRY ALL THOSE GREAT CLASHES,WE EVEN CHANGE OUR NICK NAME IN THERE HONOUR,THEY FEEL MORE LIKE BROTHERS THAN MOST OTHERS,I SAY LET THE NEW AGE BEGIN,SUPPORT OUR COMMRADES:clap:

But a lot of us were also sympathetic of your situation at the time. Either way, we're not going to judge you as it's down to what you want the outcome to be in Palace's situation.

Plenty of Palace fans were there, including myself for the Falmer march so it'd be pretty ignorant to say we goaded you at the time.

I don't know whether that wiki info is true, obviously administration is different now but I was merely making a point. Admin gets rid of a lot of debts these days, but we didn't voluntarily enter administration so calling us cheats is wide of the mark.

I appreciate that in Croydon 'a lot' actually means something quite different to what most people believe (based on the fact that you club thought it had 'a lot' of money when it clearly different. Frankly having had far too many Palace fans sneering at us I now very happy that the proverbial boot is on the other foot. The vast majority of Palace fans (I live in your catchment area) look down on us, now they are starting to know what it feels like.

Oh, for the record we have never been in Administration in fact, to pay our debts we had our home sold out from under us, of course we did have a ground to sell.

Yes...somebody can verify it

Some people on hear spouting obscenities have short memories...

Albion did jeust the same at the end of one season, I think 1991/2, by selling Mark Beeney their first-choice goalkeeper to Leeds for about £350k. That kept the club afloat at the time, paid off wages etc.

Ambrose is a steal at £750k and Colin W*nker and his QPR bosses know that. It's just what El Tel did to us in the early 80's so I suppose we can't be surprised. West London spivs.....:censored:

The Albion were due in Court on the following day to face a winding up order from the Inland Revenue for unpaid PAYE etc. The sale of Beeney enabled this debt to be paid off and the club to survive; had the sale to Leeds not gone through then it seemed probable at the time that BHA would have folded - it was that close.
