Cracking attempt at a wind up but the club have already said they are introducing a priority points system for away games this season, like Englandfans

which is fine if the games towards the end of the season , but if it's one of the first ...

very much agreeing with this , every club has it = it keeps football interesting and fun

however I do worry about this..

it was tough enough getting tickets for the last game , without having to fight against three times as many people to get one :(
I wouldn't worry, apparently 12000 of our season ticket holders support arsenal/spurs/man u, can't see them wanting to go to selhurst.

Then they'll adopt whatever policy they use for Senior Cup - e.g. 1901 and Last seasons STH's get first dibs.

Stop bloody WORRYING. If you're a REGULAR, you'll get a ticket.

Football needs rivalry. With that said it doesn't need people getting their heads kicked in because they support a certain team though.

Agreed.....with the exception of Palace fans heads !

A little reminder for you lot.You now have 18500 season ticket holders, impressive I admit, but this brings problems. With 3000 tickets available to you (trust me that will be it) there is going to be a right binfest on here as to who should get them.I would go for 1901 club members followed by anyone that was a season ticket holder at Withdean.
6-1 odds lads.

Ticket or no ticket we'll be in town on the day to mark some cards !

You truly are an idiot Rev.

ok lets all hate people because they were born in the croydon area, lets try and make all the younger people hate them as well, and when a few innocent people get beaten to a pulp we can say well i didn't do it! its not my fault i just wanted a football rivalry without the nasty bits:facepalm: And i'm the idiot because i want my kids going to football without all these silly people cranking up hatred?:moo:

football needs rivalry, I applaud any youngsters willing to carry on the Hate Chrystal Palarse for generations to come. If it leads to violence then so what, it happens and will never be stopped completely, i'd worry more about our troops than a few drugged up burberry clad goons slapping each other for 10minutes.....hell I've had worse fights in a Mosh Pit at a Machine Head gig than those little lads and their get togethers. But yes...anywhere near the AMEX and they can f*** OFF.....take it somewhere else lads.

I'm rambling and need food!

There's some awfully big car-parks at the Amex...and they won't be full of burgervans.

Will they be marketing a Murrayburger I wonder? With no Mayo....sorry, old joke when he got sent off at Griffin Park a few seasons back.

I don't hate all people born in the Brighton area, why should I hate Steve Ovett f'r instance? He had the sense to move out...

You can't take rivalry out of football, and nor should anyone try. That's what brings passion and excitement to games that appear meaningless to everyone outside the rivalry. Take rivalry out and you just have dull, and quiet games played out as a "spectacle" to entertain the masses, which is all very well when you have a Champions League semi-final, but when it's 2nd tier football, and we were heading towards relegation, then the boost to my season seeing us turn them over 2-0 at the Goldstone (April 1987) was immense. Some otherwise average player (Hughes) scored the second goal, and I briefly LOVED the man.

Rivalries are what keeps us going, it fires up the passions, and just because some idiots used it as an excuse for a fight, doesn't mean the rivalry themselves are wrong.
