Our Chairman is a class above yours, wouldn't be seen dead arguing with his own fans on social media unlike your chairman. I hear he has been at it again this week? Maybe you could get him on and we'll all listen and laugh, just to boost your ratings like.

He'll be on again at the end of the season.

Just listened to the opening part of the latest albion roar, first thoughts are that the audio quality is decent but the news reader style voice is highly annoying, got better when the other/s came in to play. The whole concept of our show is that we're in a pub with a beer talking about the club we support. So the fact you guys are saying what you are is probably correct, no other fans should like what we do & there is no surprise we get as many listeners from our own club as we do.

However, just to prove we're not just a load of crap, why not listen to our 'live' debate with Steve Parish & Gareth Southgate on the EPPP ruling/system, which got a lot of main stream media attention. Will almost definitely interest you, it's nothing to do with Palace really.

Just as a side note "One of our foreigners" David Lopez (The one who pinged in the free kick) does tweet fans in English. Just to put to bed the worst brag of all time.

Slagging off Buckley for diving while Zaha still plays for you showed a lack of self awareness that was genuinely staggering as well. Good work.

To be fair fella, that is pretty decent. Who were the mongs you had on after the Brighton game? Tell them to lay off the bugle and get along to the match before they are allowed to represent your support in public again eh?

Thanks for all the listens by the way, will look good on the stats!
You're welcome. Thanks for the laugh.

I like nothing more than improving upon something.
There are plenty of decent Palace fans. No really. When completely deluded fans call in, don't be scared to correct them a little. It'll give your show a little more credibility and encourage better callers.

Is the Albion Roar a live show? Does it regularly have the club chairman on as a guest?
As has been pointed out, most chairman don't get involved with arguments on a forum, twitter, or appear as guest on an obscure show.

Parish called into the show directly after the Wilf transfer to give Palace fans the inside track on the deal rather than them hear it through the prism of the media. Despite some of the cocks we get abusing players and chairmen, we are getting a good football club community going that seems to be very transparent.

To be fair, those regular holradio presenters that were at the match were still trying to get back to London from Chigley station or whatever it's called.
Is the Albion Roar a live show? Does it regularly have the club chairman on as a guest? When was the last time the show was invited to the stadium to interview the manager?

Yes, The Albion Roar is 90% of the time live.

Let's see - in the past couple of years, we've had...

The current Chairman
The previous Chairman, now Club President
The current Chief Executive
The previous Chief Executive
The previous Managing Director
Club Directors
The Club's Head of Operations
Sussex Police Liaison Officer

The First Team Coach
The current Vice-Captain
The previous First Team Coach

Various national and local football journalists

The head of the stadium catering company

Several ex-players
- Guy Butters
- Gary Hart
- Kerry Mayo
- Michel Kuipers
- Peter Ward
- Andy Rollings
- Chris Cattlin

Several members of the various Albion In The Community projects including people from...
- Disability projects
- Want To Work projects
- Education
- Health
- Sports Participation
- Two 18 year-olds with cerebral palsy who, having benefitted as children from AITC's work, now work for AITC as ambassdors

Plus several more I've probably forgotten (apologies if I've left you out). Hey, we've even got an international best-selling crime author on in a couple of weeks' time.

We have a good relationship with the club who have been very helpful in the past, while we manage to retain our indepedence.

There's a concept!?

If the conversation was taking place in a bog cubicle with someone continually snorting crushed up aspirins off the cistern while someone else craps on about a game he didn't see then it would better describe the format.

I will definitely be tuning in again soon.

Couldn't he just have tweeted it?

That's good. So what's the latest on ground redevelopment etc? Do you need to get to the premiership to get enough money to redevelop the way CPFC2010 would like to?

...and the stats mean what, exactly?

Whilst we're doing thanks, I'd like to thank both cpfc.org and holmesdale.net for sending so much traffic NSC's way. They rank 4th and 5th after Google, Twitter and Facebook in our Analytics reports, which also show a fair chunk of our advertising revenue comes from Palace fans.

When I take the NSC moderating team out for dinner and to get drunk, we'll raise a glass to you guys. Seems rude not to, given you'll have paid for the evening.

Very kind of you to say. The 'mongs' are part of the presenting team. Chris normally hosts the show but he was still in Brighton. So Alex (The one who sniffs) was hosting as a one off. I have to admit, if another teams show was giving analysis off the back of hearing it on the radio I'd be the first to rip the piss. Also worth noting we never broadcast on match day as things are a bit tender (and the hosts a bit drunk) - so we probably won't do it again. It was far from one of our better shows.

I'll say I didn't think it was that bad given I'm well aware I'm about as far away from the target demographic that it is possible to be.

It was very partisan, which as a Palace listener, you'd be both hoping for and expecting. The 'blokes down the pub having a chat' format is tried and tested with all manner of podcasts and is widely used because it works.

And, at the end of the day, it's some fans giving up their time to further the cause of their football club and that should always be applauded, even if the resultant output isn't quite to your tastes.

Quite.

TMLS is on this week. It's going to take a cricket bat in the face to stop him gloating.

Don't eat or drink too much then, the restaurant may not take 1p in the pound.

Standing on the Glebe is a prime example of a podcast done by supporters in an informal style that is still a quality listen for fans of other teams. Literally done in a pub as well.
