He forgot to mention the massive crowds that go with the great football. Lets hope the Barcelona of the Championship gets put into the EPL. Football is the loser here without big clubs like Brighton there :)

These crowds which you lot were saying would only be there for one season and we're plastic..... Yet you get in the epl and out off the wood work they come. These fans you then tell us are not plastic, just returning supporters.

Except I wouldn't be stupid enough or let rivalry blind me and assume you were going to lose every week. We have a fair chance of staying up, no doubt in my mind. Keep convincing yourself that we will do a Derby or worse if it makes you feel better but it won't happen, mark my words...

You do know we don't genuinely think that you will lose every week? It's our way of making ourselves feel better about you going up instead of us. Jeez

Think you will find we had a few more important games than that one in our history.

Enjoy your weekly humiliation this season. We certainly will.

Yeah I suppose the Hereford game was bigger, however the magnitude of the Amex play off game v hated rivals and what was at stake is almost as big, that said because you've never been in the prem and the expectations of your fans Bha would tonk us over the 2 legs it's got to be almost on a par?

No, you have a fool's hope of staying up.

According to Glen, he is looking to be back for the Chelsea game, only know as chatted to him a while back. Quite surprised to hear him aiming for that game considering the nature of the injury.

Interesting... December 14th, that does seem a bit soon. Suppose it depends on the individual, some people can get over an injury like this in 5 or 6 months, other's up to a year.

We were seen as relegation fodder last season by you lot and look what happened

What you have to look at is the teams you're likely to be battling against to avoid the drop. It's just my opinion but I think Cardiff stand a chance of staying up out of the three promoted teams. The teams that survived the relegation battle season are going to be much stronger this season. Sunderland and Norwich have both strengthened their teams with some quality signings, Newcastle and Villa simply will not be in the same position. Lambert had Villa playing really well at the end of the season and if Newcastle start slowly I'd expect Pardew to get the boot. Stoke are the ones likely to struggle under Mark Hughes' poor guidance. My tip for the drop is Palace, Stoke and Hull. This isn't a reflection of our 'rivalry' but more to do with the fact that the teams who were struggling last year have largely strengthened their squads whereas at the moment the additions that Palace and Hull have made have been hugely uninspiring.

I would agree with this. If I was a betting man, i'd prob back us to go down. It's a ruthless division and the huge money teams get each year makes it so hard to survive that first year. But I think we have hope, prob a 1 in 3 chance of staying up IMHO. No way will we do a Derby as some think.

Yet you still got a 0-0 and didnt turn it into a win when you should have and then at the Amex you were played off the park and ya know it Major.
Palace were going to be tonked by you over two legs remember and after the St Patrick's massacre you thought you'd make it all the way, Bridge let our Wilf out his pocket just when you needed him most and the rest is in the history books for ever and ever,I don't care what ever happens in the future we've played 3 games at the Amex 2 wonderful victories,

We were the 1st team to win a league game easily I might add and then stuff you in the biggest game in your history:clap2: Doesn't get any sweeter than that for any Palace fans :rave:

Crowds might be higher at the Amex but you're still in our shadow as always.
:wave::O

Zaha :goal:

Here you go a great clip of Beaten and Humiliated Albion and in slow motion you can see Wilf jump out of Bridge's pocket :

Now all you all can say is we're going down and the attendance bulls shlt and :bla: Who cares? will be nice to win at the Amex again if we do come down so at least we have that to look forward to.
See ya

Calm down.

The poster asked when was the last time Palace played hoofball - and I gave him the correct answer - the play off semis at Selhurst.

I would look forward to a lot of hoofball at the Grim Groupon this season as it is an approach that a lot of inferior sides resort to when faced with better footballing sides - rough it up and kick it long. I can't think why you couldn't sell them season tickets.

Of course we're odds on to go down, but that's to our advantage.
If we go down, so what, if we manage to stay up ....
It seems the players we are signing are good championship players, so obviously we're planning for the worst case scenario, but Norwich did the same and stayed up.
We'll take the tonkings next season, and you take the home draw with Yeovil

This is excellent.

A thread about 'Spanish Nige' has been turned into a thread about Palace's impending relegation in 10 months time. A far more satisfying subject to talk about :lolol:

Instead of making up lies about our playing style, why don't you focus on your own team and it's obvious deficiencies? Signing average left backs from MK Dons and a Swansea reject won't get you out of this division anytime soon.

How do you know he is average? Please do tell as I don't have a clue. You must have good scouting knowledge of the players from league 1

Perhaps you should worry more about spending 6m on a league 1 striker, than who we sign for a minimal fee.

Well as I saw Palace play more times last season than the majority of Nigel posters on here I think I carry an opinion on their style. Let me guess about you - you live in Sussex , went to the Wembley Play Off final but couldn't quite make it to Selhurst due to the awful transport links that surround the cesspit. Am I right?

With FFP biting this coming season and with the cutbacks and costs rising, I don't think you'll be spending too much on players.
Loans and minimal fees will be the order of the day, unless you sell first.
Unfortunately, that's the harsh reality.
