Jedinak's embarrassment in the PL will be completed by his increased use of his elbows which will see him the recipient of numerous yellow and red cards, he won't stand a chance and will be made to look what he is, an ordinary clogger. Any Palace fan claiming they are all set for life in the premier league needs to take a step back and realise they have actually been promoted to the Premier League and will be playing the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Man U & City, Chelsea, Spurs etc etc - Jedinak versus that lot equals summary humiliation hehe.

Tbf I think the one thing most Palace and Brighton fans agree on is that Palace are gonna get tonked next season. Most are treating next season as getting a shiny new stadium courtesy of Sky subscribers with the chance to visit places such as Anfield and Stamford Bridge. I already know I won't miss the prem when we go down

sorry mate as an ALBION fan i don't give a flying fish about a Palace signing, listen to yourself!!

Oh i'm sorry, i should be descending to the level of the palace trolls? Seems you've missed the point of my post, i.e. he might be a good signing in time but he's unlikely to be the sort of player to have an immediate impact in the premier league and thats what Palace need.

That's interesting. Would you post a link to the plans for this new stadium you mention ?

Can't be arsed to read the whole thread but it seems that Palace need to up the spending a bit if they are to get themselves in deep shit again despite the 120 million by the time they are back in the Championship. Hoping for some last minute desperate overpriced signings on mahoosive wages to lure them to the worst ground in the Premier League.

At 1.5 to 2 million this is a disappointingly low fee, I expected some more cavalier money spending

Thankfully unlike Brighton we still have a month 'til the beginning of our season. Plenty of time to add more quality.

If you look at the signings on their own merits I think they're decent to be honest.

Thomas - impressive for WBA in their promotion year and subsequent debut season
Gayle - 22-year-old prolific goalscorer with pace to burn
Campana - Spain U20 captain, made 20 appearances for Sevilla's first team

Nothing wrong with those IMO. Spending money on household names doesn't equate success. Ask Uncle Harry.

Or realistically;

Ageing winger, unable to command regular spot in wba first team due to declining form and regular injuries, who had been released at the end of the season.
Raw striker untried at this level
Young overseas player with some substitute appearances for Spains equivalent of everton.
Oh and
Dobbie - ageing striker unable to make an impact in last spell in the top flight, subsequently had poor spell at Brighton where he failed to impress followed by appearing in Palaces late season stutter.

I've amended the rules on Super Scum Bingo , you can now cross off any Nigel on the card who has been permanently banned and won't be posting again.

I love playing Super Scum Bingo every morning while eating my Frosties and reading the transfer gossip in the Daily Mirror.

You need to produce a list of the Pikeigels that have been banned , along with appropriate mugshots and a bingo grid card. I think we should have easy and difficult cards - easy cards to include non stop regulars like Dougie, Psalm & Se20. Difficult cards could have a splattering of the nervous few who only poke up on here when everything is going their way - SJLoveMinkey, OldShit, Seaside etc.

EYES DOWN ! "Number 1200 - Season Tickets Unsold at the Grim Groupon"

"Pikeigels"
Smaller crowds than us.

Great banter.

Sorry. I meant Selhurst being renovated. The money from Sky is so stupid under the new deal starting this season that assuming we get zero points extra revenue over the next 3-4 years from the p off victory is 130-140m. This excludes the Wilf money which will probably net off the net money chucked into the black hole that is running a Championship club by CPFC2010 over the last 2-3 years. If you do the maths assuming we don't spend big upfront fees (ie better to get a few highly paid mercenaries on frees on two year contracts than spending 5m upfront on lower wage players) then we should bank at least 60m which should be more than enough to renovate SP.

Luckily having owners who are fans means they can see a life in, say, 2017 of us playing Ipswich in the Championship in a financially stable condition with a modern stadium.

A miraculous fluked 4th bottom would add 60m and I year to the timeline

Spanish John ??? Seeing as this thread started by palace fan about a palace player proves that we are now Palace Stand Chat, perhaps PSC can think up a more fitting name? :lolol:

The usual bitter posters getting stuck in to Palace I see, the Major still as boring as ever.

Mind I can see where the frustration is coming from. We have disappeared off to the Premiership and you lot are stuck with Bloom and his pet poodle tightening the financial choke chain around the neck of their customers.

Is that so? If you muppets didn't start this thread there would be no discussion, but as you did we can say what we like about your joke of a club. Now p*ss off.

A palace fan starts an unwelcome thread about a palace player on a Brighton board, and you don't expect Brighton fans to slag off Palace???

Surely this thread will be bounced when 'Spanish Nige' heads for the door once you are relegated in 10 months time :lolol:

I'm actually looking forward to this season, chances are you are too. Once it gets going I imagine we are going to enjoy ourselves as we should be fairly competitive, you however are probably going to be looking a bit like this in and after most games :annoyed::nono::ffsparr:

I'm sure we will take a few thrashings this coming season. But hey ho, Will enjoy a few choice away days that I have missed out on in previous seasons in the top league.

Agree that you guys should be somewhere in the mix between 3rd-8th.
