interesting signing. Has the potential to be a good player for palace, but for him to come over and be successful from the off is a big ask for such a young player moving to anew country.
Hollloways signings are very reminiscent of his Blackpool campaign. Lots of cheap players but there doesn't look to be a huge amount of quality. To stay up they're gonna need quite a few of these gambles to come off

Palaces signings have been laughably inadequate so far to have any hope of surviving in the Premiership, seems like preparations for life back in the Championship are well under way. If one bonus of them getting a cash windfall is not having to stand in 3 inches of piss in a derelict cesspit of a stadium then I'm all for it, sadly the stadium itself will still be in a derelict cesspit part of Croydon.

Thankfully unlike Brighton we still have a month 'til the beginning of our season. Plenty of time to add more quality.

If you look at the signings on their own merits I think they're decent to be honest.

Thomas - impressive for WBA in their promotion year and subsequent debut season
Gayle - 22-year-old prolific goalscorer with pace to burn
Campana - Spain U20 captain, made 20 appearances for Sevilla's first team

Nothing wrong with those IMO. Spending money on household names doesn't equate success. Ask Uncle Harry.

Their signings (so far) have been laughable. I could understand it if they were pumping money into their infrastructure however the only thing they are considering pumping is the flooded Holmesdale Stand.

We're pumping plenty of money into redeveloping the stadium and as you've seen, we've already spent a few million on two young, hungry, exciting players with potential sell-on values. No washed up Premier League has-beens on 50k a week.

Good signing. Clearly has potential as the fee suggests. Palace could be in line for another big profit on a player here if things go well. Palace are a team who do develop younger players well... Unlike A LOT of other clubs...

Well quite. Because you've got an 8 page thread on one of our players. If you weren't interested, you'd ignore it and it would sink away out of sight. But it's fairly normal for Palace fans to be interested in Brighton and vice versa. I don't know where this new pretence of indifference is coming from. I'd rather play (and beat) you lot than any Premier League club, any day of the week.

As for the player, I've never heard of him. Being Spanish or being U20 captain doesn't necessarily make him any good IMO. encouraging to see journalists who know about Spanish football raving about him, but I think it's better to wait to see him actually play 5 or 10 games before getting too excited.
