Have you dropped Palace as Rivals because for the first time in 20 odd years you finished above us?? come on we kept you as rivals for bloody years even though there was 3 divisions apart and our crowds were 3 times bigger...come on, man up and lord it over us at least for a couple of years.


Palace do have a problem as someone stated, a lot of support has moved south and west, I would have thought redeveloping Selhurst stand by stand would be the best thing to do (its not like its packed to the rafters!) We would love to move 4 miles down the road and build a nice stadium like you have (yes I have been to the Amex, and thought it jolly nice) but thats not possable in south london as that would mean a move to somewhere like Sanders..tead or Bromely that would be as likely as getting into the CPSC. So IMO knock it down and start again 25000

In all seriousness, it was very good. Alan Davies was fantastic, Jo Brand was... her usual self, Sean Locke was good, and a couple of local guys who I'd seen on BBC a few times. A very enjoyable evening apart from the Magners being 7 POUNDS per pint.

Never been a fan of Alan Davies before either to be fair. I've seen a lot of stand up over the years, and he was actually the best of the lot by some distance. Had me in stitches, when normally he's average at best.

More than happy to have selhurst redevelop, a couple of new stands would bring the ground up to modern standards ,too many new stadiums are to much like fish bowls with no Features ,the Amex is one of the better new builds.
The down side with selhurst is getting to the ground which can be painful.

I never understand this. So many people say Selhurst is hard to find, difficult to get to, whatever. There are three BR stations within walking distance and there always seems to be plenty of on-street parking.

Wages, running costs. Virtually all football clubs run at a loss.

When is Zaha out of contract? He seems the only player at Palace that anyone is interested in and the only investment that CPFC can cash in . and they've already turned down a bid of £7 million so presumably their valuation is higher than that.

On 30 January Bolton Wanderers made a £5million bid for Zaha, which Crystal Palace rejected. They then made an improved bid of £7million, which was also rejected. Big name top division clubs such as Manchester United and Liverpool FC had talks with manager Dougie Freedman about signing the youngster, but both clubs decided to wait until the summer transfer window

He signed a 5 year deal last summer I believe.

Wonder how Bolton would have fared had they signed him for that amount in January, bearing in mind they've gone down and are seriously in debt, and just released 15 players.

I don't think it's so much their outgoings that's a problem, I think there's a real lack on income from ticket sales. I believe they are still honouring some ST deals handed out by Jordan so if they sell their target of 10k ST's, they only get about 8-9k worth in income

Of course, if you're making a loss it's not only outgoings that are the problem!

That 14k figure was before we signed the likes of CMS, Hoskins, Lua Lua and Buckley.

I'm sure we are making a profit, but how much is VERY difficult to say.
