Just been to the shop and there were some police outside the stadium who looked like they were on a recce. It's noticeable how little space there is next to the Fanzone, so really hope the dreaded one way system is being dropped for Palace at the weekend. It's a very narrow pinch point if everyone has to head that way. It's been bad enough in the past with a lot more room.

The best case yet for what they should always do anyway. Hold them inside for half an hour and let the vast majority of fans go home without all the hassle.

I actually think it works better to hold us back. Holding back 27k for 30 mins is a lot easier than trying to dispurse 27k in 30 mins. Get rid of the 3k twats (how many have we given them this season?) in about 20 mins.
Agreed re the pinch point now at the fan zone, potentially not good.
Imagine if they did what you suggest. It's one thing to go away and have the expectation that in a game such as this you'll be held up, but why give preferential treatment to them whilst disadvantaging us? They'll certainly not allow Brighton out at the return fixture whilst keeping their customers kettled in that rat-infested dump.

BHA have done, on more than one occasion. Luckily we don't have a rat infested dump. I'd prefer that to the nightmare at the east stand a couple of seasons ago, that was very unpleasant.

Post-match: Supporters leaving the Amex to reach the coach park, park and rides and car parks, will be directed clockwise to reach their destination. Coach departures will be delayed by approximately 15 minutes later than normal.

From the BHAFC website just now.....

Which occasions were they? To my knowledge and recollection, and I've been to almost all the home matches at the Amex, I have never waited at all.

Surely if there is a narrow pinch point everyone trying to go in the same direction eases some of the problem rather than people trying to squeeze past each other going in opposite directions?

Depends how long they hold the Palace fans back for, really.

6 hours should be fine.

That would be almost as long as they held us back at Smellhurst after the 5-0 defeat in 2002.

How does that work with ESL emptying on 70 minutes?

Thanks. So basically if you're in West or North stand you have to go round passed the East Stand to get to coaches or P&R.

When we had the crush outside the East Stand previously it was stewards were forcing everyone to go clockwise, even those leaving East stand that wanted to get to the trains. The trouble was they then couldn't pass the south stand entrance. Hopefully the stewards will have been told to allow those going to the trains from the East and North to go anti-clockwise this time.

They will probably keep the NW exit closed again like they have done before so add to the general crush past the new build, it was a little scary trying to get out the north stand when they did that before, still the police know far better than the supporters on what puts people at risk
