The tit for tat started when BHA and Sussex Police decided that a full 3,000 of Palace fans was way too much for them to deal with, so its stayed at the same stupid limit ever since. At selhurst there was just a tarp over the empty seats. Seems such a waste, although given some of the Neandarthals I met for the game at Selhurst maybe not. Still singing songs about another team's player that led to the death of an innocent Palace fan
Brighton fans singing about Cantona is just Brighton fans singing about Cantona because he kicked a Palace fan nothing more nothing less.

Palace fans using the tragic death of one of their own fans as some weird way to claim the moral high ground over the Cantona chants seems to be the disrespectful behaviour to me. Essentially using someone else’s death as a way to try to score points on a Brighton forum.

Wasn’t it because a load of bellends from palace stormed the turnstiles and injured innocent stewards and put the safety of their fellow ‘fans’ in danger with over crowding as a result? And also as a result cause some of their fans with actual tickets to miss the game due to their actions? Oh yes, it 100% WAS this - not the Police or BHA. But don’t let the facts get in the way of the truth.

Just like the Cantona song has nothing to do with your fan dying. I’d be asking more questions about the actions of the Man Utd AND palace fans that day if you want to blame someone for the poor blokes death, but that wouldn’t suit the narrative again, would it…
No, that was the first match when the numbers had been reduced. Before that had there really been much trouble?

Come on eagles dan, for us it was a great moment seeing that typical south London cretin getting a well-deserved kick off Eric. And we're still laughing about it all these years later. But as for your fan dying a while later, that was bloody terrible and I've never heard an Albion fan joke or sing about it.

With the same pathetic logic, why don't you blame Matthew Symonds? Also you lot blame Sussex Police for not letting your fans with tickets in, but fail to blame the hooded thugs that attacked stewards and other fans, nope Let's blame the Police and the French one. Totally illogical.

Neanderthals you say ? Like morons who peddle a fake link between an innocent fan’s death and a totally unrelated bit of Karma dealt by Eric to a gobby Palace knobbead ? You should be ashamed of yourself. Nobody here is interested in you playing the victim so go and play elsewhere. Make sure you are at home in time for tea.

There's no doubt that the Cantona incident was a major reason behind the trouble at the semi final that led to Paul Nixon's death. Before then, Palace and Man u were pretty non-plussed about each other, but that moment created a real bad feeling between the two clubs. Idiots singing about Cantona just bring back memories. Its bad enough coming from Man U fans, but coming from a team that he never played for is just a bit pathetic really. If you want to have a go about any of our players fine, in the same way as Dunky gets a lot of stick from Palace fans, but why sing about an opposition player who had no connection to BHA?
Anyway, back to the subject, we have sold every ticket given to us so far, despite this being the 2nd re-arrangement.

It's a massive stretch. Frankly, an embarrassing one. But only what we expect from you lot.

Like your own fans singing that incredibly embarrassing chant about him the last game you played against MU I assume you mean?

Its not hero worship like the songs you like to sing about another team's player

If it were about one of your own players it would still be distasteful, but the fact its about a player and an incident that had nothing to do with Brighton is just wrong. Still, if the cap fits, wear it.

And the Palace fan chants about Lewis Dunk?

You’re talking out of your arse.

Eric’s kung fu kick on a fan was a shocking incident, it was unlike anything anyone had ever seen at a professional football match, still is. The fact he kicked a palace fan makes it both shocking and (for Brighton fans) really funny. Now Eric was a prick and still is, but him flying through the air to smash a palace thicko made superb viewing.

If he had done the same at a Brighton game you’d have loved it too Dan.

I thought it was a massive over reaction to that Palace fan saying, "off you go, Frenchman, early bath for you" :)

The point is, YOU lot decided to directly link the Cantona incident to the tragic death of a Palace fan later that season. We don't.

Thats it.

You used to be a fairly decent poster (for palace) on here. Now you are just muddled in with all the other palace knobheads on NSC spouting completely made up shit.

Well done fella. Well done.

Going to answer Sheebo's posts about your cretinous mob singing your song about Dunk now? Get a wriggle on. It's rude to keep us waiting.
