As Viera was one of Arsene Wengers golden finds, I expect PV to have similar access to the same scouting network AV used.

I wonder if they think he could land the likes of Nkietah, Maitland-Niles, Balogun or even Willock on permanents or loans?

I can’t see any other attraction to be honest.

He's done nothing as a manager to suggest he can cut it in the Prem. Did OK at NYCFC and Nice but this is a whole other level.

I am not familiar with the lyrics but if it's racist then I hope Brighton fans would not be moronic enough to sing it...

Not at all racist - just suggests his mum eats humans as it’s big in Senegal

I would never suggest a racist song ffs

Alan Nixon from the Sun is making himself popular with them tonight. Not only dismissing the jet plane to Favre story, but also reporting that, with Parker leaving to join Bournemouth, Fulham's first choice is Cooper if they'll pay the compensation. Back to square one.

Difficult choice for Cooper if both want him. It may come down to facilities. Fulham have an impressive new stand, but then so do Pal ... oh.

Let’s copy Brighton’s west stand and build that… and forget… and forget… and forget…

In fairness to Vieira, with the tools that are currently in the Palace shed I can't see how any manager could avoid a very challenging season.
All brought on by themselves due to the stupid contracts they dished out and the lack of transitional planning.

If Vieira is still in charge at Palace by the end of the season it will be a miracle.

Look at this thread in a years time. Everyone lamenting how great it is that Palace are ballsing up right now.

No manager, players out of contract. Joke of a club.

Same shít every season. And they finish above us.

Great appointment.

Just the person we want to oversee the rebuilding of them up the road.

This could be fun.

But has he actually signed or could this be another episode of Palace - The Missing Link!

From the Sky article: Palace's initial preference was to appoint a manager with Premier League experience but with time ticking and a number of players contemplating their contractual situations, the club has relaxed its requirements to help speed up the appointment.
