[Albion] Palace Fans Biggest Fear

The lot on Holmesdale still aren't confident. 10 pages of mostly 'we're going to get battered'............

https://www.holmesdale.net/page.php?id=106&tid=177987&page=10

“Awful timing this game. Very concerned we will be embarrassed, even though theyve won one home game all season. We are the gift that keeps on giving with these types of stats.

They are a busy, energetic team who will play round us with ease. The midfield will be totally overpowered. I never predict us to lose so no prediction.. but worried for us in this game.”

Spot on about the midfield.

I think Palace fans biggest fear is that this will be the last weekend for a very long time in which they will hold a league position above ours.

I bet there's a few contemplating that very thought this weekend.

Happy to hold myself up to getting any **** in the event that the result doesn't go the way we want it to on Monday. Couldn't care less what any of them think of me.

Don’t think ‘we’ really are at all. As usual you get the odd poster who will say a prediction. Think most of us know what Palace games are like and it’s very unpredictable. Anyone posting such stuff just opens themselves up to shit - like the palace morons who post on here.

Well, nearly 20% of people on the match score predictor have gone for a 3-0 home win. I call that risky.

Someone needs to point out that we have 2 defenders out injured, that would automatically become the best defenders Palace have ever had, if they played for them!

All you will get is excuses about their injury list.

They love to play the victims

I reckon they are trying to bluff us about Zaha, Hodgson didn't say he was out definitely and then you see him on his Instagram story out on the training field! So yeah I would be SHOCKED if he doesn't play.

I've seen a few in the East Upper jump up when watching a Spurs or Chelsea early doors game on the box, but nothing more.

It’s not comments though - if anything you’ve just highlighted it to the lurking scum

I can’t actually think what first team era they have out. Schlup isn’t particularly? Every other **** seems to be there. Think we’ve got 7 or 8 out ourselves including both first choice wing backs and centre half probably... they can do one.

Yes it suits their agenda to call us plastic (because we are far better supported and have far more modern facilities), but here are a few FACTS:

1) The 3 seasons before promotion, Palace averaged 15,500, 15,000 and 17,500. Suddenly, they sold out their 25,000 ground. That's an increase of 30%+ overnight. Our gates went from 25-27k to 30k - nothing like the same level of plastic Premier league fanbase then. Confirmed.

2) Talking of fair-weather fans, nobody does this like Palace. 51,000 saw them gain promotion to division 1 in 1979, but literally 5 years later in the same division (one promotion, one relegation) and the gate for local-ish Wimbledon at home was 4,025. Noddy tin-pot twats.

3) They also like to talk about us being two-club fans. I have to say, I don't know any myself but there we go. I DO know that the bloke that Cantona booted 3 rows back for saying "it's an early bath for you Eric" has since gone on record as actually being a Fulham fan. And one of those embarrassing ultra ring-leaders "used to" support Spurs.

Says it all. Joke outfit that nobody in London cares about.

Thread won

Indeed.

For our last game, we had 3 players out, who could all be considered as contenders for player of the season.
March/Webster/Lamptey. But sure we never have injuries and Palace are unlucky.

Shame they spunk all their budget on an expensive and older first 11 and hope they don't get injuries.
Then bleat about bad luck when it goes wrong.

Whereas we invest in a deep squad of younger players.
It's almost as if there was a plan.

They also have a repeated narrative that whenever we beat someone, its because "they haven't turned up" or "we've caught them on a bad day". They repeat this ad-nauseam to reassure themselves that ANY win is purely down to luck and the opposition playing shite. Ignoring the fact that the reason the opposition have played shite is often because we've largely nullified them, and we've had the ball more and used it better as a direct result.

The delusion and paranoia amongst the GOON squad is truly something to behold.

Yet when people parody them on here they’re too thick to realise it and run back quoting  :ffsparr:

Not just Palace fans - there's a few Albion fans on here that do that!
