Not today they wouldn't. They have the bragging rights, rightly so as they are unbeaten against us this season and will milk it for all its worth. So would we had we even drawn last night. Nothing to do with facilities, manager, training ground ect they won and that was the be all and and all atm

I know they'd rather have our Academy facilities, manager, Chairman, and Board, and stadium, and I also know we're on the up, whereas Palace are approaching a change of manager, squad rebuild, stadium "re-build?" and uncertain financial future.

They are going to get a champions league winning manager and sign 5 players over £50 million each.

When the Glazers sell Manure, they will buy Palace and they will be rubbish

I wouldn't be too hasty in laughing at Palace's situation.
Currently they play dull, unexciting football. They have a very tired ground that needs rebuilding and have a set of players and a manager that are in decline.

However, the fact that many of their squad and manager are reaching the end of their contracts gives the club an opportunity to rebuild at a time when the cost of players is in decline.
Someone young and experienced like Eddie Howe could deliver entertaining football and get the fans excited once again.

However that means that the invisible American owners would still need to make transfer funds available, and it also requires them to come up with £100m+ from somewhere to build their new stand (silly me, I forgot that money is already ring-fenced).
Oh, and also get Sainsbury's to sell them the land needed to build the shiny new stand which they have refused to do.

Eddie Howe could help them in the short term by reinvigorating the depressed fanbase.
But I'm secretly hoping they appoint someone like Chris Coleman, Neil Lennon or Rafa Benitez.

It could go one of two ways for them. Would I rather be in Norwich's or Palace's situation going into next season?

Take your point but I also feel change is afoot and the stakeholder's entering football just to make as much money as possible are likely to be running for the hills, we're in a very fortunate position with TB.

Think they're as pessimistic about Pilarse's future as I'm predicting! It's all good here in the Albion half, or as I call it, the "inheritance" side of the family!

If the mythical new stand was budgeted for in December 2017, at 100 million, what would be the cost of it 3 1/2 years later? House prices have gone through a big price increase , Spurs Stadium budget went up a large amount once building started, so surely the mega stand will be a lot more expensive than the 100 million that is rind fenced?


Just remembered Wembley, as well, that ended up cost about 3 times the original estimate.

Don't forget they'll be able to phoenix the company in the latter stages and pay 10p in the £. So CPFC (2025) Ltd will have a brand new stand at a snip.
