Seems like they were all out yesterday after a bit of success, even the Fathers For Justice Palace Branch made an appearance

Couple of gobby ones on our train back from London who’s greatest fear actually seemed to be getting arrested and thrown in jail for saying they were English.

Funny, considering they will probably sack him if they lose their first few matches next season

I'd love to see him clear off within months of his appointment and just at the point their supporters are wetting themselves about the promise of next season. That would be absolutely hilarious.

Can't he just rip up his contract & bugger off. Guess that would completely destroy the contract system in football & make them meaningless.

Tim hasn’t got a source whereas mine has stated it will begin at the end of the season👍
Based on your 5-year plan, the new stand delays and ring-fenced cash I’d say you don’t need a source you can easily read between the lines.

Not really. Any manager can decide to simply not turn up for work in the hope of being sacked,, but their club isn’t obliged to sack them. They can instead put them on gardening leave to prevent them from working elsewhere until either their contract ends or they receive an acceptable settlement.

Not sure how much truth there is in this, but surely he can just buy himself out of his contract?
$20m for a two year contract is very generous. Highly unlikely Glasner is on anywhere near that.

I'm calling bullshit on the $100m request, although Beaky is enough of a deluded twunt to try it on.

I see it as a publicity stunt. That and if it were to happen Beaky would love the 'kudos' that would go with selling a manager for such a sum. And it would become nearly the ringfenced amount too.

Yeah absolutely.
He is effectively saying "we won't sell him".
However, unless he already has this as a release clause, Beaky has left himself open to an interesting conversation, with Glasner's agent.

I very much doubt Palace could stop Glasner leaving - they might be able to enforce some sort of reasonable notice period in the UK, but if Glasner wants to return to Germany I’m not sure there’s much they could do to stop him. Sure, there would be compensation - but it would need to be a “reasonable” sum (not $100m, unless that’s in his contract). The key issue is whether Glasner wants to go.
