Have you all heard about the new Palace documentary on Amazon?

It’s a thriller, with twists and turns and centres around their bid to find a new manager. It’s called ‘who would dare take the Eagles job?’

It'll be interesting to see how many of those move on next week? I genuinely don't think I'd take any of em. I think Clyne is a good player but seems in decline other than that I don't think any would even consider them. A lot of once good players past their best on big money and a couple of nothing players. Big problems for the Caravan club...

They still have Mr Tumble, he is good enough to keep them up on his own.... well he has done last 4 years

We now appear to be in the situation of the bloke in a nightclub, who has gone along in a group with a couple of girls who are reasonable (Howe, Lampard) and he probably stands a decent chance with. However, he goes off in pursuit of the stunning girls (Nuno, Favre) and spends the night buying them drinks in the hope he can pull them.

They have listened to him and realised that whilst he was never that attractive, he's not rich either. They can wait for another night. A bloke with a Mercedes rather than one with a Ford will come along tomorrow night or the one after.

It's approaching the end of the night and we are becoming desperate. We are now faced with going back to the girls we came along with who know they ain't even first or second choice and will probably tell us to do one (unless they are equally desperate).

However, over in the corner is our ex (Freedman). We went out with her for quite awhile, most of the time she was fat, frumpy and boring. Towards the end of the relationship she lost weight and become sexy but within weeks of this she dumped us for a better offer.
She's not single, fat and frumpy again.

Really should have gone for one of the reasonable girls we came long with. They may not be perfect, but we are certainly not either.

:lolol:

Lovely stuff

It's a double whammy as a lot of them could do a job for the three coming up. Cahill, Clyne, McCarthy, Townsend, Sakho, Schlupp have Prem experience - Brentford surely could use some of that?

Maybe but it flies completely in the face of the strategy of that has got them this far? Old players on big money with no resell is not the Brentford way anymore than its ours. They might want one or two for the experience possibly but personally I doubt even that.

There are many that say it's not good for you, it can impact on your mental health and gives way to bouts of delusion, the vaccine however is bang on!

whilst this is undoubtedly fun from the outside looking in, for both Palace and Spurs fans it must be a complete nightmare. For the likes of our resident Palace trolls I am experiencing a healthy dose of Schadenfreude but like others on here , I know genuine Palace fans who are just like fans of BHA and most other clubs and they must be in despair . To see your club fast approaching a new season and to have a succession of managers very publicly turn you down must be heart-breaking, especially when both clubs have intimated that its basically a done deal with managers due to be revealed within hours

Palace especially have have had plenty of warning that Roy wasn't staying, so to have botched it up so badly when they must have known a year ago he wasn't staying (everyone else knew) is spectacularly bad.

Even if those 10 players out of contract had thought about staying surely this will give them pause to think about whether a club run this badly is the place to be

Brighton have talked about succession planning on both player and managerial fronts, so we know that our club has a plan in place and seen it in practice at various times over the years.

It beggars belief that a club the size of Tottenham, and even Palace(established Prem side after all) can not recruit a manager after so long. Is there something "unknown" to the public in both cases that as soon as it becomes "need to know" for managerial candidates sends them running.

By all accounts both clubs have been at the stage of player transfer talks with the prospective managers, with contracts all but agreed. Something seems very wrong at both these clubs
