They get upset when we sing about Cantona because… someone died years later or something. Twats.
It wasnt years later, it was the same year, the day of the Cup Semi-Final at Villa Park, when Palace Fan Paul Nixon died as a result of Man U fans and their Cantona songs. If objecting to Cantona songs makes me a twat, so be it RIP Paul

And why did the whole business with Cantona start? Because of a racist and abusive Palace fan. Don't forget that part.

You say tribal like it's a bad thing, without tribalism, football would be pretty crap. It's a massive part of the sport we all love. Without tribalism we wouldn't be rivals.
Let me say though that the huge majority of Palace fans aren't bellends and are massively jealous of the fantastic way your club us run and the amazing football you've played over the past few seasons.
Anyway I'm gonna stop with the love-in because I hate you.
True - tribalism is a good thing when it comes to football - every club needs rivals.

Pretty much all the Palace fans I know are decent people - who go to games (not 'support' a big club from their sofa)

Anyway - looking forward to the game in a few weeks time and seeing the new stand.

LOL. What a thickie.

Why were there only 16k at Selhurst the last time you played local rivals Millwall in the league?
Thats a lot more than 6000 at Withdean

Also, a lot of fans give Millwall a miss given their knuckle dragging fans

Ah, the new stand, we'll get back to you about that

He wasnt a Palace fan. It doesnt excuse that Cantona jumped in the crowd, and that the bad blood led to the death of an innocent fan

Not a Palace fan? What was the chap from Thornton Heath doing in the home end then? Seems really weird a neutral would turn up to a match and start abusing an opposition player. Unless you're not actually telling the truth, which we know is a common theme with Palace fans.

I certainly don’t care one way or another if you object to Cantona songs: none of my business what your personal preferences are. Can’t think why you’re wasting your time whining about them on your rivals’ board though. Seems kind of pointless. Still, each to their own (a view you don’t seem to agree with, or you’d be idling away your afternoon somewhere more Croydonesque).

And I suppose your "legendary" fans (circa around 14k tops in the Championship) would have been FLOODING along to a municipal uncovered athletics track in their droves to watch the likes of Cheltenham and Rochdale in the 3rd and 4th division.

Wind it in, chump.

So why was it that before the Amex, there were gates of around 6000 at the Withdean? Why did the Amex suddenly fill with 30000?
First season at Withdean pretty much sold out every game watching League Two football under Mickey Adams. So much so we evertually extended it with the worlds second worst away end after the Arfur - a stand that is testament to the fact that Selhurst is advantageously designed so you can't see the football

It's all they've got left now. They can't let go of it.
They'll be clinging to the myth of our 24,000 plastic fans as they slide back to the championship and beyond.

I wonder why that was? It's a real puzzler that. Surely nothing to do with a decade of shite facilites - no roof, miles from the pitch, no investment on the pitch etc. Or playing home games in Gillingham before that, or a decade of asset stripping and barely surving in the pofessional leagues. Look it up, it's what happens if you don't following the admin route (is it 2 or 3 times for you lot now - i.e. the clubs before cpfc2010)?

I for one went to away games more than home games as it was such a ridiculously horrible ground to watch your team in for more than one or two seasons.

One certainty is that Palace would not have survived what we did, the 14k or so that could be arsed with mid table championship would have dissapeared within a couple of years and the woah woah look at me brigade would have done something else to get noticed, they would never have blighted your club and humiliated genuine supporters.

The funny thing is that despite your lots admin cheating, despite the massive amounts of extra cash through spending more time than us in the lucrative PL as a result, you've absolutely nothing to show for it. Meanwhile we've built from scratch an infrastructure the envy of half the PL and a top 10 (poss top 6) squad, with that following circa £150m of player sales this season alone.

No wonder you lot are so jealous!
