Palace manager Patrick Vieira to miss today's game at Tottenham after testing positive for COVID.

They tried to get their game today postponed because of Covid.

They’ve named a full strength team, and the bench isn’t bad.

There are more ways to cheat than diving for penalties.

In The Times today they said: "...some Palace players sent text messages to their Tottenham counterparts on Saturday night saying...that the game would be off".

Readng an article in the guardian, it seems their concerns were that because Vieira had tested positive, loads of players might test positive. Consequently they didn't meet up in the hotel the night before (as they usually do, apparently) so had less time to prepare. This constituted 'chaos'.

"Palace only named seven substitutes – rather than the permitted nine – it appeared that they were missing only seven senior players."

I think we are being harsh on Crystal Palace . Their squad must have been down to the bare bones as watching the highlights on MOTD it would appear they had to field a carthorse at Centre Back.

... and now Zaha is off to AFCON, so no wins for Palace then until mid-Feb

Shame - as the last few years against us he's tried to hard and not been very good really.

Here's one , also in London, that was started in 2019 and is nearly finished.

See it can be done !

As nice an addition to Craven Cottage as it is I can’t envisage a more open fronted modern main stand being commissioned for some time.

Looks incredibly accessible to the elements from the first row to the last. Even facing away from prevailing winds it’s almost certain to be a less than pleasurable viewing experience in the cold or wet!

Unfortunately they are no longer the one man team they were and Gallagher looks far more a threat with Eze back too. Consensus amongst Palace fans is they’ve had it with Zaha and would rather he left.

Not sure another PL club would want him now. Parish would still demand a kings ransom to scupper that further as well

That may well be so, but at least it means this they won't get his inevitable goal against us next Friday, they'll need to find it from elsewhere. Kouyate and Ayew will be big misses for them too, Jeff Schlupp less so, but we'll miss Bissouma so it'll be interesting to see how it all goes.

In relation to their AFCON absences, they'll be missing for Brighton, Millwall and West Ham. Three pretty decent games rivalry-wise, not that I care either way

Hmmm he didn’t play last Feb against Brighton either.

Zaha is not palaces best player anymore, and is no longer number 1 on the team sheet.

My concern for you, with CG, is a Chelsea recall, not sure if they can do this, but with clubs punting in offers for him, I guess so? On Mr Tumble, he's been well and truly rumbled, my take is he's frustrated in the latter part of his career and maybe feels he hasn't exploited his potential and that's starting to come across more and more with his petulance. Players have picked up on this and wind him up for fun. No doubt a good player, but I just feel he could've achieved more.

Suggestion seems to be only recall clause was based on appearances (or lack of) and surely he has passed that.

I think if he played at least 50% of games he couldn't be recalled, and he's done that. Not sure what happens though if Chelsea accepted a bid for him in January.

You'd think from a player registration point of view Palace would have to agree to 'deregister' him - and unless Chelsea are going to pay ££££ to Palace , can't see it

Tony sells him back to Chelsea after the game.

Schlupp is not going.

We have just played West Ham, Millwall is the real Derby and I think we have enough. The Brighton game is a rivalry and I think should be a good game as we are both playing well at the moment.
