BTW, The U23’s that got turned over was more of an U23/18 so great for a run out but means absolutely bugger all.

How long has he on his contract? If it’s two years then it won’t be far off … and they pay stupid salaries in Turkey.
Added to that he will be playing in a side that has a very good chance of winning silverware, where as palace like us have very very little chance.
Finally, why would he turn down the move for a team that is at the start of a massive rebuild, where senior players have left, a new manager with a questionable record, promising to play a new style of football that he isn’t known for and 5-6 quality players down with 3 weeks to run before the season starts.

His contract expires next summer, so £5m for a 31 year old in the final year of his contract seems like an offer too good to turn down. Otherwise he’ll be off for free at the end of the season.

you say that and most of us would agree with you, but you have also said on lots of occasions that your current squad IS capable of finishing above 15th comfortable, so YOU are the one judging the team not us. Not only have you judged you have found your team to be ready for a mid table finish
This "has been linked with" is just a ludicrous statement as you well know.
If I put on twitter that "Man City and England Star Phil Foden has been looked at as a possible transfer target by Brighton" then Brighton have been linked to him. And tbh, most of the "linked to" reports are about as valid as that.
Bissouma has been linked with Liverpool, City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs so far this season, and in all probability not a single approach has been made by anyone, or certainly not all of them
Once a club has made an offer then they can be said to be linked with (White to Arsenal) or even last year White to Leeds, but some teen writing a wish list or a **** fantasy on a half baked football site doesn't constitute anything more than that-wishful thinking in a fanboys mind
Jenks, Longman, and Weir are out on loan Roberts, Ostigard Khadra, are with our first team and Karbownik, Lampty, and Caicedo could also have played in the U23. That is 9 players 21 or under who could have been in that U23 team that would have made a difference.

In fairness to [MENTION=42405]Milo[/MENTION]. With 2 injuries likely to cover the first half of the season, they currently have 6 places in the squad to fill.
Added to that there are a further 8 players who are seemingly unwanted, as their contracts are being left to expire next season.
I would expect the Palace recruitment team to be putting out feelers on a fair few "targets" .

Let's be honest here, the level of negative spin put on our chances by you lot is hilarious. But I guess I should expect it, i'm on a rivals message board and most posters are blinded by the rivalry.
If you honestly think we are relegation fodder then fair play but I think there is a fair about of rubbish being posted here. We may have a small squad at the moment but that will improve and I'd rather have our current starting X1 than at least 5 other teams in the league, including the 3 promoted teams.
The era of Vieria has started well. The football looks way more easy on the eye than Roy's. We are currently battering Ipswich at Portman Road and should be 4 up. 2 fantastic signings in so for this summer and more on the way including Andersen hopefully. Im excited and so I should be

Brentford
Norwich
Watford
Palace
Burnley
Brighton
Wolves
Southampton.
I think both Leeds and West Ham need to be careful.
FWIW, my view is that the three teams that came up are favourites plus palace if you don’t get more players in. The other one is Southampton ….
