He’s rejected Rangers as well supposedly, I think he’s looking for more than clubs are willing to pay.
Good player when fit.

Thats why he was at Palace in the first place..... Massive wages. Glad to see you are tightening the belt a little bit.. Would hate to see you go into Admin once again!

But that means that's another position that needs filling out of the £80m war chest.

How long left until the season starts?

Early start today. The 130 posts in a day could be under threat .

I suspect his agent thinks he has Parish where he wants him and is trying to screw every last penny from him.
Very good whenever I saw him play, but I can't see too many other clubs looking to spend big wages on him tbh.

I’d like Gary to re sign but on a lower basic wage with appearance bonuses included. I’ve heard that’s the deal we’ve offered but he’s looking for better terms elsewhere, as is his right.

90k a week instead of £130k?

The Palace way

Cannot say for sure, but relegated unless multiple quality incomings

Guaita

Ward Tomkins Guehi Mitchell

Milivojevic Mcarthur Reidewald

Zaha Benteke Schulpp

Bench: Butland, Clyne, Kelly, Hannam, Kouyate, Ayew, Mateta

If we signed nobody else this would be our most likely starting X1 on the opening day of the season. That team is filled with internationals and experience. We would then have Eze, Olise and Ferguson to come back into the squad.

That team would stay up IMHO. The fact we will be getting in 4-5 more signings allows me to think we can have a good season.

Palace’s biggest challenge will be changing the style from 11 men behind the ball and relying on breaks. A complete change of tactics (assuming that’s what they’ll do) is not that easy to get right quickly imo. Will the owners be brave enough to stick with what may well be bad results until it clicks, if it does.

We only managed it because of Potter’s bravery and refusal to revert to “back to basics” and the backing of TB. We had some very dodgy games and results in Potter’s first season

I understand that Viera's tactics aren't a totally radical departure, but more possession based.
I would assume the strength of Eze and Zaha is in counter attacking play rather than a passing game.

I could be wrong Viera may well be taking a good look at what he's got and will adapt tactics to suit.
He would be a fool not to play to Zaha's strengths as he remains the only fit game-changer in the squad.

Save me looking it up, which of that back five is a regular international starter?

That back 4 and midfield..... Bring it on, they will get battered every week.

In fact I can't see any in that team including subs are regular international starters

I think that's a bit unfair.

Since he realised he wasn't good enough for England, Zaha turns out for the Ivory Coast every now and again.

All these players have played for their international team:

Clyne
Zaha
Milivojevic
Macarthur played for Scotland regularly but retired recently
Reidewald
Kouyate
Benteke
Ayew
Schlupp
Butland
Guehi and Eze have played for England U21

But don't let the facts get in the way of a good story...

It's been years since most of these played for their countries. On your basis we may as well.include lallana and wellbz as England regulars !!!

Also I know you keep bigging up ridewald and I know he was formerly a wonder kid. But he hasn't been good for years. Ajax fans were so happy to see the back of him
