and then Pope spills a tough tumbling chance down the leg side... this is slipping away.

Fine margins.

Great test cricket this. Love that England have gone for the win and the crowd are in. Could go 3 ways in the final session - good on both teams for that. Would've been far easier to let the game die.

I suppose if you are to play a very aggressive form of cricket then your declarations should mirror that but I can’t help feeling this was a too generous one.

It certainly was sporting. Game on with the new ball I reckon, just got to lose as few runs as possible in the next 3 overs.

It was ballsy for sure - we're all used to declarations only being made when the game is safe, not ones that give the opposition a decent chance. Risking defeat to try to force a win is brilliant, hope we see more of it.

You have to be risky with the declaration to entice the chasing team to attempt the chase, nearer 400 and i highly doubt Pakistan would have even bothered going for it, they are used to drawing tests and after conceding nearly 700 runs first innings they’d have snapped your hand off for a draw

England will lose a few games doing it that’s for sure, but this was a fair declaration IMO

Another twist... LBW not out... review and he's gone!

80.2 W Robinson to Salman, OUT
Big inswinger and a huge appeal! Stokes is going to review once more! The ball almost rolled onto the stumps after striking Salman on the pad... there was inside edge of bat, but was it pad first? If so, it's close! England sound excited to judge by the first replay! It's out! A wicked cramping curler from Robinson, Salman was pinned so far back on the crease that even with the late movement, it wasn't going to swing past!

Agha Salman lbw b Robinson 30 (64b 4x4 0x6 ) SR: 46.87

259-6

Game back on!

Will pakistan try to shut up shop now or hit out?

Their Tailenders are known for hitting out, not their defensive capabilities.
