Who do you give MOM to here? Brook?

4/50 on that pitch from Robinson is a huge effort. Jacks 6fer on debut.

And Robinson has only confirmed my belief that he is the best all pitch seamer England have produced in my generation.

Fair play to Pakistan, could easily have time wasted there as we knew the light would be pretty much gone by 11.45

Fantastic win.

It's rare to do it solely on captaincy, but Stokes has just captained his side to a win through a sheer willingness to accept they might lose. His decisions throughout the match put this down as one of the truly great captaining performances. He never flinched, never took a catcher out when it looked Pakistan's to lose.

How the hell has Stokes manufactured a positive result on that road?

Undoubtedly the best test match result I've ever seen
End of the day he did it by being prepared to lose. They were prepared to risk scoring rapid in the 2nd innings even after losing wickets, in a declaration that just looked scarily getable in 4 sessions, in keeping all the catchers in when Pakistan were only 4 down closing in on the score. As a bowler, what more could you want. I even saw Lynch before the wickets really started to tumble ask for a covering fielder a bit deeper, and Stokes was seen telling him no, we're keeping your catchers in. Mental. Not sure any captain in the history of test matches have risked so much when a draw away from home was nailed on.
