I agree with him. If Sussex by the Sea is our song, we shouldn't need the lyrics on the screen, it looks tinpot. Anyone who is bothered can go away and learn them.
Just like people go away and learn all the words to hymns before they go to a church service?
The words are up on the screen - so what? Who cares? What difference does it REALLY make?
Why do they put the names of the players on the pitch up on the screen during the game? Surely people can see with their own eyes? Don't see any 'tinpot' complaints about that...
