Albion have only just put the lyrics back up. According to PB it's on the basis 'you asked, we listened'.

I don’t get them trying to make the lyrics on the screen thing a problem.

1) it’s new
2) it’s for kids
3) we have a screen and technology to do these things
4) we have a stadium 1000 times what your shit hole is.
5) you have goal music which is far worse
6) you shout the name of the scorer after a rare home goal which is far far worse
7) you have wannabe Italian kids singing woah banging a drum and dancing in matching uniform for 90 mins

I could go on...

And on....

And on....

But the lyrics on the screen to our WW1 county song clearly offend...

I wish we didn't put the lyrics up

Quite. They've been up long enough. I hated the idea then, and it's worse now.

You either know the lyrics, in which case you don't need them up, or you don't - so you should learn them before setting foot inside the cathedral.

Not hard.

It is called democracy which obviously you do not adhere to as the majority wanted them brought back and the club have done so. If it increases the atmosphere I am all for it, and if you dont need them just dont look, just sing the words you know Nobody forces you to look at the screens.

Maybe he'll stop asking if they manage to get it right.
Think about it, he should have said 'Goal scored by number 17, Glenn Murray. Glenn...'

just for old times' sake

Think that one has legs. We should sing it at the next game against our former rivals,. "And then.. clap clap.. Wilf fell over, clap clap Wilf fell over"

Like it.

Brilliant.
We’ve got it
And then finish it off with

And then he cried

There seems to be something missing from this discussion.

I'm sure one of our resident palace fans will be along soon.

Meopham, Kent.
As the teams came out he said something like
"Here come the teams so let's sing our song, we don't need the lyrics"
Was he taking the mickey out of us?

Tbf, we do make ourselves look a bit dim because we have the lyrics, and still get them wrong.

Oh Sussex, Sussex by the Sea
Good ol' Sussex by the Sea

How many people sing the second line twice?

I do :D

I prefer it that way. It's how we've always sung it, and works better IMO. With Stand or Fall of course.

TBH they would if it wasn't for the fact the reading would be a Key Stage 3 level, which most of the ultras haven't reached yet.

Any true South Saxon would know the words off by heart.

Learn the bloody words! It really isn't that difficult

When was this majority established, please?

I don't recall any such thing being voted on?

Pretty sure people use hymn books in a cathedral...

Not got a problem with it at all. I'd rather have more people singing that not bothering because they don't know the words. If you know them already, don't look at the screen
