It's a big yes from me, especially if Lallana doesn't want to continue playing after the rest of this season. If that is the case, we would have a place for a high-paid, highly experienced player to come in on the wage bill/be part of the squad. AOC ticks all the boxes, and is far more positionally flexible than Lallana is.

The Ox in the box! Get him in (assuming he's got the right attitude/wages/fitness/ability).

I do think with the number of youngsters we are bringing through it's good to get the occasional seasoned pro and as a number of people have said, if Lallana thinks it's a good idea I'd be up for it.

We have a state of the art training facility and have been "lucky" with injuries this year. Personally, I don't believe it is fortunate, I think the club are all over the medical side of things, like there isn't much luck involved plucking Mitoma away from Japan and him being brilliant, it isn't a coincidence that Welbeck and Lallana seem to get more game time here. It's all well managed.

If we perform the same trick with the Ox, he'd be a great signing.

He’s nothing like Lallana whose injuries we can manage. Chamberlain is fragile, slower and we have better on less wages. He was a good player but I don’t see him as top half PL any more.

No thanks, he seems absolutely anonymous when playing in any liverpool game I watch. Zero impact on the game. He played 68 minutes of our last game with Liverpool, only noticed he was there when he got subbed off.
I do agree, but it feels like there is a bit of a malaise at Liverpool at the moment, lots of players not really firing on all cylinders. Maybe a fresh start at a hungry club is what he needs.

This seems a pretty even spread so far. Poll would be interesting.

The Liverpool fans seem to think he’s useless and should’ve been sold/releasesd years ago.

As @Swansman says, signing a player from Liverpool would mean he'd have got an EXCEPTIONAL reference from AL. For that reason I'd be in. If he trains well, is a role model and contributes something on the pitch then why not? (I have to say I've never been that impressed by him).
Indeed, it makes sense to me too. I have to say that l wasn't overly impressed with the Lallana singing either, but he has proved me wrong by shoring up our midfield when he plays, and is a great voice in the dressing room too.

Apparently he can do a really good version of ‘Life is a rollercoaster’- Ronan Keating

Lallana was an intelligent leader type player for Liverpool, and so has brought those qualities to us. He was also an important player for them in terms of quality on the ball, so although nearer the end of his career that quality is still there. I dont see the same leadership qualities in AOC, and he's been useless for Liverpool for a few seasons now. Im just not sure the Lallana signing is as comparable to AOC as people think.

I agree that bringing in those leader type players is important but I wouldnt say AOC has proven himself to be that. He's coasted at Liverpool for a while now. We have better on less wages already, and there are other better options to sign out there. If this signing was made it would be because Lallana vouches for what he could offer, but on my watching i just dont see it.

He has looked ponderous and slow and overweight for years. A big no from me. He'd never keep up with the work rate at the Albion.

He seems like an unfulfilled talent to me. I've always liked him but am not sure if that's down to first impressions and potential rather than anything he's done over the length of his career.

I'm very much in the 'if the club/RDZ want him, that's good enough for me' camp.

It’s a no from me currently with 2 young stars, Lallana and Gross, Gilmour and Moder. 6 players for 2 spots although some of these can play the ACM too. If we were to move on a couple of the above though he might be an average option. Would think he’d be better off going somewhere he’ll start rather than to us with two of the best CMs in the league ahead for either 10 more years or, infinitely more likely until they both move on to huge clubs.
