Can't fathom for the life of me why he'd want to do that, although I guess it had become clear Real didn't want him. Newcastle seem very much a club in decline at the moment.

Best Decision he'll make, 1st team football every week, playing alongside a striker who he has worked well with in the past.

At Liverpool he would not get a look in with the new trolley Morientes playing all the time.
